但第七年、地卻要有完全歇耕的休息、是向永恆主守的休息；你就不可耕種田地，不可修整葡萄園。

第七年，地要守圣安息，就是向耶和华守的安息，不可耕种田地，也不可修理葡萄园。

But in the seventh year the land is to have a year of sabbath rest, a sabbath to the Lord. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards.

But the seventh year must be a year of sabbath rest for the land. The land must rest during it. It is a sabbath year to honor the Lord. Do not plant your fields. Do not trim the branches in your vineyards.

but in the seventh year there shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a Sabbath to the Lord. You shall not sow your field or prune your vineyard.

這是要成就永恆主的話、由耶利米口中說出來的、說：直到這地享滿了安息為止；因為儘這地荒涼的日子，這地總是守着安息，直守滿了七十年。

人若說：「看哪，在第七年我們不播種、不收藏出產，喫甚麼呢？」那麼、在第六年我就要吩咐我的福賜給你們，地就會生出產、來供給三年的用處。第八年你們要播種，可還有舊的出產喫；到第九年、出產收來的時候、你們還有舊的喫。『地不可永遠賣掉，因為地是屬我的；在我面前你們不過是寄居寄住的僑民。

『六年你要種地，收集它的出產；第七年你卻要讓地歇息，放它自生，好使你民間的窮人有喫的；他們餘剩的、田野的走獸可以喫。你的葡萄園橄欖園、你也要這樣辦理。

這地他們雖要離開，可是地荒涼、他們不在這地的時候、地卻要享休息，然後他們就要接受他們的罪罰，因為——真地因為——我的典章他們棄絕了，我的律例他們的心厭棄了。

『那麼儘地荒涼的日子、儘你們在仇敵之地的時候、地總是享受休息的；那時地必息耕，總是享受休息的。儘地荒涼的日子、地總是得休息；這種休息是你們居住其上的時候、在你們所有的休息年中、地所沒有休息過的。
