But in the seventh year the land is to have a year of sabbath rest, a sabbath to the Lord. Do not sow your fields or prune your vineyards.

But the seventh year must be a year of sabbath rest for the land. The land must rest during it. It is a sabbath year to honor the Lord. Do not plant your fields. Do not trim the branches in your vineyards.

你们可能会问，‘第七年不种不收，我们吃什么？’我要在第六年赐福给你们，使田地的出产够你们吃三年。第八年开始耕种时，你们仍会吃陈粮，一直吃到第九年的收割季节。“你们不可永远卖掉土地，因为土地是我的，你们只不过是寄居在那片土地上的过客。

“六年之内你要耕种收割，第七年要让土地休息，不耕不种，你们当中的穷人可以吃田中长出来的，剩下的可以留给动物吃。你也要这样耕作葡萄园和橄榄园。

土地被他们离弃，荒无人烟，得享安息。他们却要因拒绝遵守我的典章、厌弃我的律例而饱受惩罚。

你们被掳到敌国的时候，你们的土地将荒废，享受安息。你们住在那里的时候，没有在安息年让土地安息，因此土地在荒废的日子里将享受安息。
