六日要做工，第七日是圣安息日，当有圣会；你们什么工都不可做。这是在你们一切的住处向耶和华守的安息日。

“当记念安息日，守为圣日。六日要劳碌做你一切的工，但第七日是向耶和华你神当守的安息日。这一日你和你的儿女、仆婢、牲畜，并你城里寄居的客旅，无论何工都不可做；因为六日之内，耶和华造天、地、海，和其中的万物，第七日便安息，所以耶和华赐福与安息日，定为圣日。

约西亚从群畜中赐给在那里所有的人民，绵羊羔和山羊羔三万只，牛三千只，作逾越节的祭物；这都是出自王的产业中。约西亚的众首领也乐意将牺牲给百姓和祭司利未人；又有管理神殿的希勒家、撒迦利亚、耶歇将羊羔二千六百只，牛三百只，给祭司作逾越节的祭物。

你们各人都当孝敬父母，也要守我的安息日。我是耶和华你们的神。

有些族长到了耶路撒冷耶和华殿的地方，便为神的殿甘心献上礼物，要重新建造。他们量力捐入工程库的金子六万一千达利克，银子五千弥拿，并祭司的礼服一百件。

且因我心中爱慕我神的殿，就在预备建造圣殿的材料之外，又将我自己积蓄的金银献上，建造我神的殿，就是俄斐金三千他连得、精炼的银子七千他连得，以贴殿墙。金子做金器，银子做银器，并藉匠人的手制造一切。今日有谁乐意将自己献给耶和华呢？”于是，众族长和以色列各支派的首领、千夫长、百夫长，并监管王工的官长，都乐意献上。他们为神殿的使用献上金子五千他连得零一万达利克，银子一万他连得，铜一万八千他连得，铁十万他连得。凡有宝石的都交给革顺人耶歇，送入耶和华殿的府库。

到第七日，神造物的工已经完毕，就在第七日歇了他一切的工，安息了。神赐福给第七日，定为圣日；因为在这日，神歇了他一切创造的工，就安息了。
