『七月初十日、是除罪日；你們要有聖聚會，要刻苦自己，要將火祭獻與永恆主。

“ The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. Hold a sacred assembly and deny yourselves, and present a food offering to the Lord.

“ The tenth day of the seventh month is the day when sin is paid for. Come together for a special service. Do not eat any food. Bring a food offering to the Lord.

“ Now on the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. It shall be for you a time of holy convocation, and you shall afflict yourselves and present a food offering to the Lord.

“ Be careful to celebrate the Day of Atonement on the tenth day of that same month— nine days after the Festival of Trumpets. You must observe it as an official day for holy assembly, a day to deny yourselves and present special gifts to the Lord.

“ The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. You are to hold a sacred assembly and practice self-denial; you are to present a food offering to the LORD.

“ On exactly the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement; it shall be a holy convocation for you, and you shall humble yourselves and present an offering by fire to the Lord.

“ Also the tenth day of this seventh month shall be the Day of Atonement. It shall be a holy convocation for you; you shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire to the Lord.

Howbeit on the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement: it shall be a holy convocation unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Jehovah.

“ The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. You are to hold a sacred assembly and practice self-denial; you are to present a fire offering to the Lord.

Also on the tenth[ day] of this seventh month[ there shall be] a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD.

“ The tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. It is to be a holy assembly for you, and you must humble yourselves and present a gift to the LORD.

“ However on the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement. It shall be a holy convocation to you. You shall afflict yourselves and you shall offer an offering made by fire to Yahweh.

『每逢七月初十日、你們總要刻苦自己，無論是本地人、是寄居在你們中間的外僑、一切的工都不可作；這要給你們做永遠的條例。因為在這一日要給你們行除罪禮，使你們潔淨；你們要在永恆主面前得潔淨、脫離一切的罪。這一日你們要守為完全歇工的安息日；要刻苦自己；這是永遠的條例。

『他要宰那為人民做解罪祭的公山羊，把羊的血帶進帷帳內，用這血行禮，像他用公牛的血行禮一樣，彈血在除罪蓋上面，又彈在除罪蓋前面。

亞倫一年一次要在壇的四角上行除罪染的禮；他一年一次要用除罪禮上之解罪祭牲的血為壇除罪染；代代都要如此：這壇是獻與永恆主為至聖的。』

他要在聖的地方在水中洗身，穿上衣服，出來，把自己的燔祭和人民的燔祭獻上，為本身又為人民行除罪禮。

『亞倫要把那為自己做解罪祭的公牛獻上，為本身和本家行除罪禮；他要把那為自己做解罪祭的公牛宰了。

那年七月初十日，你要傳播出大號角聲；在除罪日、你要在你們遍地傳播號角聲。

當那些日子、我但以理悲傷了三個七天。精美的食物我沒有喫，酒肉沒有入過口，我也都沒用過油抹身，直到滿了三個七天。

眾人聽了，心裏被扎，就對彼得和其餘的使徒說：『同人弟兄們，我們應當怎樣行？』彼得對他們說：『你們要悔改，你們各人都要在上帝所膏立者耶穌名內受洗、以得罪赦，你們就可以領受聖靈、那白白的恩。

『在這七月十日、你們要有聖聚會，要刻苦自己；甚麼工都不可作，只要將燔祭做怡神之香氣獻與永恆主：就是牛一隻，要小公牛、公綿羊一隻、公綿羊羔一歲以內的七隻、都要你們認為完全沒有殘疾的。和以上這些祭牲同獻的是用油調和的細麵：配合一隻公牛、要獻一伊法的十分之三；配合一隻公綿羊、要獻一伊法的十分之二；配合那七隻公綿羊羔、每隻要獻一伊法的十分之一；也獻一隻多毛公山羊作為解罪祭、是在除罪禮上之解罪祭、和不斷獻的燔祭、和跟燔祭同獻的素祭，以及跟這些祭牲同獻的奠祭以外獻的。

因為依順着上帝而有的憂愁能生出不後悔的懺悔來、以至於得救；而世俗的憂愁卻能生出死亡。你看，你們依順着上帝而憂愁，這在你們中間已生出了何等的熱切、何等的分訴、何等的憤慨、何等的危懼、何等的切慕、何等的熱誠、何等的公正責罰啊！在各方面、你們都證明自己在那事上清清白白。

那時我在亞哈瓦河邊那裏宣告禁食，為要在我們的上帝面前刻苦自己，祈求他使我們和我們的小孩跟一切活財物都得了平坦的路。

我必將恩慈之靈和懇求之靈傾注於大衛家和耶路撒冷的居民；他們必瞻望着他，就是他們所刺透的；他們必為他號哭，像喪獨生子而號哭一樣；也必為他憂苦，像喪長子而憂苦一樣。

我所選擇、使人刻苦自己的日子難道是這樣的禁食麼？難道只是叫人垂頭像燈心草，拿麻布和爐灰當床鋪麼？難道你要把這樣叫做禁食，作為使永恆主悅納的日子麼？我所選擇的真禁食豈不是以下這些行為：

你們要愁苦，要哀慟，要哭泣。讓你們的喜笑變為哀慟吧；你們的喜樂變為意氣銷沉吧！

至於我呢、我在他們有病時、卻穿着麻衣，以禁食刻苦自己。我所祈禱的都回到自己懷中。
