“‘ When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. Leave them for the poor and for the foreigner residing among you. I am the Lord your God.’”

“‘ Suppose you are gathering your crops. Then do not harvest all the way to the edges of your field. And do not pick up the grain you missed. Leave some for the poor people and the outsiders who live among you. I am the Lord your God.’ ”

“ And when you reap the harvest of your land, you shall not reap your field right up to its edge, nor shall you gather the gleanings after your harvest. You shall leave them for the poor and for the sojourner: I am the Lord your God.”

当路得起身又去捡拾麦穗时，波阿斯吩咐他的仆人们说：“让她在禾捆之间捡拾麦穗，不可使她受辱。你们还要从禾捆中有意为她抽出一些麦穗，留给她捡拾，不可斥责她。”路得就这样在田里捡拾麦穗，直到傍晚；她又把所捡拾的麦穗脱粒，约有二十二公升的大麦；然后她带进城去给婆婆看她所捡拾的，又把她饱足后多余的拿出来给了婆婆。她的婆婆对她说：“你今天在哪里捡拾麦穗呢？在哪里做工呢？愿那位关照你的人蒙祝福！”路得就告诉婆婆她在谁那里做工，说：“我今天在一个名叫波阿斯的人那里做工。”娜娥米对她的儿媳妇说：“愿他蒙耶和华祝福！耶和华的慈爱没有离开活人和死人。”娜娥米又对她说：“那个人是我们的亲戚，是我们的一位有赎回权的近亲。”摩押女子路得说：“他还对我说：‘你要紧跟着我的仆人们，直到他们收完我所有的庄稼。’”娜娥米对她的儿媳妇路得说：“我的女儿啊，这样就好！你与他的使女们一同出去，就不会在别人的田里受人欺负。”于是，路得就紧跟着波阿斯的使女们捡拾麦穗，直到大麦收割和小麦收割都结束了。路得一直与她的婆婆住在一起。

路得就去了，来到田里，在收割的人后面捡拾麦穗；她来到的这块田恰巧属于以利米勒家族中的波阿斯。看哪，波阿斯从伯利恒来了，他对收割的人说：“愿耶和华与你们同在！”他们对他说：“愿耶和华祝福你！”波阿斯问那监督收割的仆人：“这是谁家的年轻女子呢？”那监督收割的仆人回答说：“她是与娜娥米一起从摩押地回来的年轻摩押女子。她说：‘请让我捡拾麦穗，在收割的人后面收聚禾捆之间散落的麦穗。’她就这样来了；从清早起，除了在屋子里坐了一会儿，一直留到现在。”

所以，我认为必须鼓励这些弟兄先到你们那里去，把你们已经许诺的惠赠提前安排好，这样就表明你们所预备好的就是惠赠，而不是被强取的。又有这话：播撒吝啬的人，也收获吝啬；播撒祝福的人，也收获祝福。每个人要照着心里预先定好的，不要为难，也不要勉强，因为神喜爱那乐意给与的人。神能使一切的恩典丰丰富富地临到你们，使你们总是在一切事上都能知足，在一切美善的工作上充实满溢。正如经上所记：“他施舍，赐予穷人；他的义行永远常存。”供应种子给撒种的，又供应粮食给人吃的那一位，将要供给并增加你们的种子，而且增多你们义行的果子，使你们在一切事上都得以富足，以致十分慷慨，就藉着我们生出对神的感谢之心。因为这服事的工作，不仅补足了圣徒们的缺乏，并且能藉着对神的许多感谢而充实满溢。

有人慷慨好施，反增添更多；有人该给不给，却导致缺乏。慷慨祝福的，必得丰裕；使人得润泽的，自己也蒙恩泽。

把你的粮食分给饥饿的人，把流浪的困苦人接到家中，见到赤身的人就给他衣服穿，不回避有需要的骨肉之亲。如果你这样做，你的光就必喷薄而出，如同黎明的光；你也必速速康复；你的公义必行在你前面，耶和华的荣耀必作你的后盾；

眷顾贫弱者的，是蒙福的！在灾祸的日子里，耶和华必搭救他。耶和华要保守他，使他存活；他在这地上被称为蒙福的人。耶和华啊，求你不要照着他仇敌的心愿把他交出去！他在病床上，耶和华会扶持他；耶和华啊，他伤病时，你使他在病榻上痊愈。

如果你为饥饿的人献上身心，使困苦的人身心满足；那么，你的光就必在黑暗中升起，你的幽暗必明如正午；

他施舍、给予贫穷人，他的公义将存留到永远，他的角将在荣耀中被高举。

不过你们当把里面的施舍给人，看哪，对你们来说一切就都洁净了。
