‘ The priest who is highest among his brothers, on whose head the anointing oil has been poured and who has been consecrated to wear the garments, shall not uncover his head nor tear his clothes;

兄弟中為大祭司者、首沐以膏、任聖職、衣聖服、勿披髮、勿裂衣、

兄弟中有為祭司長者、既沐香膏、衣聖衣、任是職、則勿裂衣露項、

兄弟中首受膏傅、衣聖衣、立為大祭司者、毋露首、毋裂衣、

“‘ The high priest, the one among his brothers who has had the anointing oil poured on his head and who has been ordained to wear the priestly garments, must not let his hair become unkempt or tear his clothes.

“‘ The high priest is the one among his brothers whose head has been anointed with olive oil. He has been appointed to wear the priest’s clothes. When someone dies, the high priest must not let his own hair hang loose. He must not tear his clothes to show how sad he is.

“ The priest who is chief among his brothers, on whose head the anointing oil is poured and who has been consecrated to wear the garments, shall not let the hair of his head hang loose nor tear his clothes.

“ The high priest has the highest rank of all the priests. The anointing oil has been poured on his head, and he has been ordained to wear the priestly garments. He must never leave his hair uncombed or tear his clothing.

“ The priest who is highest among his brothers, who has had the anointing oil poured on his head and has been ordained to wear the clothes, must not dishevel his hair or tear his clothes.

‘ He who is the high priest among his brethren, on whose head the anointing oil was poured and who is consecrated to wear the garments, shall not uncover his head nor tear his clothes;

And he that is the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil is poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not let the hair of his head go loose, nor rend his clothes;

“ The priest who is highest among his brothers, who has had the anointing oil poured on his head and has been ordained to wear the garments, must not dishevel his hair or tear his garments.

And[ he that is] the high priest among his brethren, upon whose head the anointing oil was poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not uncover his head, nor rend his clothes;

“‘ The high priest– who is greater than his brothers, on whose head the anointing oil is poured, who has been ordained to wear the priestly garments– must neither dishevel the hair of his head nor tear his garments.

“‘ He who is the high priest among his brothers, upon whose head the anointing oil is poured, and who is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not let the hair of his head hang loose, or tear his clothes.

So the priest who is anointed and ordained to serve as priest in his father’s place shall make atonement: he shall put on the linen garments, the holy garments,

Then Moses said to Aaron and to his sons Eleazar and Ithamar,“ Do not uncover your heads nor tear your clothes, so that you do not die and He does not become wrathful against all the congregation. But your kinsmen, the entire house of Israel, shall weep for the burning which the Lord has brought about.You shall not even go out from the doorway of the tent of meeting, or you will die; for the Lord’s anointing oil is upon you.” So they did according to the word of Moses.

And the congregation shall save the one who committed manslaughter from the hand of the blood avenger, and the congregation shall return him to his city of refuge to which he fled; and he shall live in it until the death of the high priest who was anointed with the holy oil.

Then the high priest tore his robes and said,“ He has blasphemed! What further need do we have of witnesses? See, you have now heard the blasphemy;

“ The holy garments of Aaron shall be for his sons after him, so that they may be anointed and ordained in them.For seven days the one of his sons who is priest in his place shall put them on when he enters the tent of meeting to minister in the Holy Place.

Then he poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron’s head and anointed him, to consecrate him.

It is like the precious oil on the head, Running down upon the beard, As on Aaron’s beard, The oil which ran down upon the edge of his robes.

So Jacob tore his clothes, and put on a sackcloth undergarment over his waist, and mourned for his son many days.

Then Job got up, tore his robe, and shaved his head; then he fell to the ground and worshiped.

And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty.You shall speak to all the skillful people whom I have endowed with the spirit of wisdom, that they make Aaron’s garments to consecrate him, that he may serve as priest to Me.And these are the garments which they shall make: a breastpiece, an ephod, a robe, a tunic of checkered work, a turban, and a sash. They shall make holy garments for your brother Aaron and his sons, so that he may serve as priest to Me.

Then Mordecai returned to the king’s gate, while Haman hurried home, mourning, with his head covered.
