「剛出生的牛、綿羊或山羊，前七天要與母親在一起。從第八天起，可以把牠們獻給我作火祭。

第八天，嬰兒要接受割禮。

我可以警告誰呢？誰會聽呢？他們耳朵閉塞，什麼也聽不見！看啊，耶和華的話逆耳，他們毫不喜歡。

摩西卻對耶和華說：「你看，我拙口笨舌，法老怎肯聽我的話？」

你們要向我獻上五穀和新酒，不可遲疑耽延。要把你們的長子獻給我。也要獻上頭生的牛羊，牠們生下來後可以留在母親身邊七天，第八天要獻給我。

耶和華說：「看啊，時候將到，我要懲罰所有只在身體受過割禮的人，就是埃及人、猶大人、以東人、亞捫人、摩押人和所有住在曠野、剃了鬢髮的人，因為這些人，包括以色列人，都沒有受過真正的割禮，沒有受過內心的割禮。」

摩西卻說：「以色列人都不聽我的話，法老又怎麼肯聽我這拙口笨舌的人呢？」

「你們到了我賜給你們作產業的迦南以後，如果我使那裡的房屋中有發黴現象，

「你們這些頑固不化、耳不聽心不悔的人，經常抗拒聖靈，所作所為和你們的祖先如出一轍！
