又叫兩個匪徒坐在拿伯的對面，作見證控告他說：‘你曾經咒詛神和君王’；然後把他拉出去，用石頭把他打死。”於是拿伯城裡的人，就是那些與拿伯同住一城的長老和貴胄，都照著耶洗別送給他們的信上所寫的去行。他們宣告禁食，使拿伯坐在民間的首席上。然後兩個匪徒來坐在拿伯的對面。這兩個流氓當眾作見證控告拿伯，說：“拿伯曾經咒詛神和君王。”眾人就把拿伯拉出城外，用石頭打他，把他打死了。

他不以舌頭詆毀人，不惡待朋友，也不毀謗他的鄰居。

到處搬弄是非的，洩露祕密，心裡誠實的，遮隱事情。

他們都是十分悖逆的人，到處搬弄是非。他們是銅是鐵，他們都是敗壞的。

“你們各人要提防自己的鄰舍，不要信靠兄弟；因為每一個兄弟都在欺騙人，每一個鄰舍都搬弄是非。

於是他們唆使眾人，說：“我們聽過他說謗瀆摩西和神的話。”又煽動民眾、長老、經學家，這些人就來捉拿他，把他帶到公議會，並且造了假的證供說：“這人不斷抨擊聖地和律法。

“不可作假證供陷害你的鄰舍。

所以要除去一切惡毒、一切詭詐、虛偽、嫉妒和一切毀謗的話，

雖然有許多人前來作假證供，卻找不著證據。最後有兩個人前來說：“這人說過：‘我可以拆毀神的聖所，三日之內又把它建造起來。’”

現在我不想多煩擾你，只求你寬容一下，聽我們講幾句話。我們看這個人就像瘟疫一樣，是煽動普天下猶太人生亂的人，又是拿撒勒派的首領。他還意圖污穢聖殿，我們就把他捉住。（有些抄本在此有以下一段：“我們想按照我們的律法審問他。7可是千夫長呂西亞來了，用武力把他從我們手中搶走，8還吩咐原告到你這裡來。”）

沒有親情、不肯和解、惡言中傷、不能自律、橫蠻兇暴、不愛良善、
