“‘ Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block in front of the blind, but fear your God. I am the Lord.

“‘ Do not ask for bad things to happen to deaf people. Do not put anything in front of blind people that will make them trip. Instead, have respect for me. I am the Lord your God.

『凡故意帶領盲人走錯路的必受咒詛！』全體民眾要回答說，『阿們！』

「在年長者面前，要恭敬站立，要敬重年長者。要敬畏你們的上帝。我是耶和華。

要敬畏你們的上帝，不可彼此虧負。我是你們的上帝耶和華。

其實食物並不能改變上帝對我們的看法，我們不吃也沒有損失，吃了也不會更好。但你們要小心，不要讓你們的自由絆倒那些信心軟弱的人。如果有人看見你這明白以上道理的人竟然坐在偶像的廟中吃喝，他雖然良心不安，豈不還是會放膽吃獻給偶像的祭物嗎？這樣，你的知識反而令那軟弱的人，就是基督捨命救回的弟兄沉淪。你們這樣得罪弟兄，傷了他脆弱的良心，就是得罪基督。所以，如果我吃某些食物會令我的弟兄在信仰上跌倒，我就情願永遠不吃，免得令他們跌倒。

要尊重所有的人，愛主內的弟兄姊妹，敬畏上帝，尊敬君王。

所以，我們不可再互相論斷，要留心自己的言行，不要絆倒弟兄姊妹。

不要成為猶太人、希臘人或上帝教會的絆腳石，

迫害你們的，要為他們祝福；要祝福，不可咒詛。

在我之前的省長使民眾負擔沉重，天天索取食物、酒及五百克銀子。他們的僕人也欺壓民眾，但我因敬畏上帝而沒有這樣做。

到了第三天，約瑟對他們說：「我是敬畏上帝的人，你們照我的話做就能活命。

不過有幾件事我要責備你，你那裡有人隨從巴蘭的教導。這巴蘭從前教巴勒在以色列人面前佈下網羅，使他們吃祭過偶像的食物、犯淫亂的罪。

既然你們稱呼那位按各人的行為公正無私地審判人的上帝為父，就應該存著敬畏的心過你們在世上寄居的日子。
