Thou shalt not oppress thy neighbor, nor rob him: the wages of a hired servant shall not abide with thee all night until the morning.

“‘ Do not defraud or rob your neighbor.“‘ Do not hold back the wages of a hired worker overnight.

“‘ Do not cheat your neighbor. Do not rob him.“‘ Do not hold back the pay of a hired worker until morning.

“ You shall not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages of a hired worker shall not remain with you all night until the morning.

“ Do not defraud or rob your neighbor.“ Do not make your hired workers wait until the next day to receive their pay.

“ Do not oppress your neighbor or rob him. The wages due a hired worker must not remain with you until morning.

You must not oppress your neighbor or commit robbery against him. You must not withhold the wages of the hired laborer overnight until morning.

Behold, the hire of the laborers who mowed your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth out: and the cries of them that reaped have entered into the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.

And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against the false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the sojourner from his right, and fear not me, saith Jehovah of hosts.

Thou shalt not oppress a hired servant that is poor and needy, whether he be of thy brethren, or of thy sojourners that are in thy land within thy gates:in his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the sun go down upon it( for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it); lest he cry against thee unto Jehovah, and it be sin unto thee.

Diverse weights, and diverse measures, Both of them alike are an abomination to Jehovah.

If I have eaten the fruits thereof without money, Or have caused the owners thereof to lose their life:

Thus saith Jehovah: Execute ye justice and righteousness, and deliver him that is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence, to the sojourner, the fatherless, nor the widow; neither shed innocent blood in this place.

Thou knowest the commandments, Do not kill, Do not commit adultery, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honor thy father and mother.

and my wrath shall wax hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.If thou lend money to any of my people with thee that is poor, thou shalt not be to him as a creditor; neither shall ye lay upon him interest.If thou at all take thy neighbor’s garment to pledge, thou shalt restore it unto him before the sun goeth down:for that is his only covering, it is his garment for his skin: wherein shall he sleep? And it shall come to pass, when he crieth unto me, that I will hear; for I am gracious.

The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery; yea, they have vexed the poor and needy, and have oppressed the sojourner wrongfully.

If the thief be not found, then the master of the house shall come near unto God, to see whether he have not put his hand unto his neighbor’s goods.For every matter of trespass, whether it be for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, or for any manner of lost thing, whereof one saith, This is it, the cause of both parties shall come before God; he whom God shall condemn shall pay double unto his neighbor.

Woe unto him that buildeth his house by unrighteousness, and his chambers by injustice; that useth his neighbor’s service without wages, and giveth him not his hire;

Rob not the poor, because he is poor; Neither oppress the afflicted in the gate:

or have found that which was lost, and deal falsely therein, and swear to a lie; in any of all these things that a man doeth, sinning therein;

that no man transgress, and wrong his brother in the matter: because the Lord is an avenger in all these things, as also we forewarned you and testified.

If the owner thereof be with it, he shall not make it good: if it be a hired thing, it came for its hire.

If it be torn in pieces, let him bring it for witness: he shall not make good that which was torn.

And a sojourner shalt thou not wrong, neither shalt thou oppress him: for ye were sojourners in the land of Egypt.

And he said unto them, Extort no more than that which is appointed you.
