“ Aaron will present his own bull as a sin offering to purify himself and his family, making them right with the Lord.

“ Aaron is to offer the bull for his own sin offering to make atonement for himself and his household.

“ Aaron must offer the bull for his own sin offering. It will pay for his own sin and the sin of his whole family.

“ Aaron shall offer the bull as a sin offering for himself and shall make atonement for himself and for his house.

“ Aaron will present the bull for his sin offering and make atonement for himself and his household.

Then Aaron shall offer the bull as the sin offering, which is for himself, so that he may make atonement for himself and for his household.

Then Aaron is to present the sin offering bull which is for himself and is to make atonement on behalf of himself and his household.

But only the high priest ever entered the Most Holy Place, and only once a year. And he always offered blood for his own sins and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance.

Then Moses said to Aaron,“ Come to the altar and sacrifice your sin offering and your burnt offering to purify yourself and the people. Then present the offerings of the people to purify them, making them right with the Lord, just as he has commanded.”

Unlike those other high priests, he does not need to offer sacrifices every day. They did this for their own sins first and then for the sins of the people. But Jesus did this once for all when he offered himself as the sacrifice for the people’s sins.

Then Moses presented the bull for the sin offering. Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the bull’s head,and Moses slaughtered it. Moses took some of the blood, and with his finger he put it on the four horns of the altar to purify it. He poured out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar. Through this process, he made the altar holy by purifying it.Then Moses took all the fat around the internal organs, the long lobe of the liver, and the two kidneys and the fat around them, and he burned it all on the altar.He took the rest of the bull, including its hide, meat, and dung, and burned it on a fire outside the camp, just as the Lord had commanded him.

These are the priests who had married pagan wives: From the family of Jeshua son of Jehozadak and his brothers: Maaseiah, Eliezer, Jarib, and Gedaliah.They vowed to divorce their wives, and they each acknowledged their guilt by offering a ram as a guilt offering.

At that time, the Levitical priests of the family of Zadok, who minister before me, are to be given a young bull for a sin offering, says the Sovereign Lord.

When these celebrations ended— sometimes after several days— Job would purify his children. He would get up early in the morning and offer a burnt offering for each of them. For Job said to himself,“ Perhaps my children have sinned and have cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular practice.

And he is able to deal gently with ignorant and wayward people because he himself is subject to the same weaknesses.That is why he must offer sacrifices for his own sins as well as theirs.

On the eighth day, and on each day afterward, the priests will sacrifice on the altar the burnt offerings and peace offerings of the people. Then I will accept you. I, the Sovereign Lord, have spoken!”
