他要穿上圣洁的细麻内袍、细麻裤子，束上细麻腰带，戴上细麻礼冠。这些是圣洁的衣物，他必须沐浴后才可穿戴。

律法因为人性软弱而无法成就的事，上帝亲自成就了。祂差遣自己的儿子成为和罪人一样有血有肉的人，作了赎罪祭，废掉了罪的权势，

祂虽然本质上是上帝，却没有紧紧抓住自己与上帝平等的地位不放，反而甘愿放下一切，取了奴仆的形象，降生为人的样子。祂以人的样子出现后，就自愿卑微，顺服至死，而且死在十字架上。因此，上帝将祂升为至尊，赐给祂超乎万名之上的名，使一切天上的、地上的和地底下的，无不屈膝跪拜在耶稣的名下，无不口称耶稣基督是主，将荣耀归于父上帝。

同样，基督为了承担世人的罪，也曾一次献上自己。祂还要再来，不是来除罪，而是来拯救那些热切等候祂的人。
