至於那抽籤歸阿撒瀉勒的山羊，卻要活活地擺在耶和華面前，用來贖罪，然後叫人把牠送到曠野，歸阿撒瀉勒。

但那拈阄归与阿撒泻勒的羊要活着安置在耶和华面前，用以赎罪，打发人送到旷野去，归与阿撒泻勒。

But the goat chosen by lot as the scapegoat shall be presented alive before the Lord to be used for making atonement by sending it into the wilderness as a scapegoat.

But the goat chosen by the other lot must remain alive. First, it must be brought in to me to pay for the people’s sins. Then, it must be sent into the desert as a goat that carries the people’s sins away.

but the goat on which the lot fell for Azazel shall be presented alive before the Lord to make atonement over it, that it may be sent away into the wilderness to Azazel.

The other goat, the scapegoat chosen by lot to be sent away, will be kept alive, standing before the Lord. When it is sent away to Azazel in the wilderness, the people will be purified and made right with the Lord.

神設立了耶穌為贖罪祭（“贖罪祭”直譯作“贖罪或使神息怒之法”），是憑著他的血，藉著人的信，為的是要顯明神的義；因為神用忍耐的心寬容了人從前所犯的罪，

這樣的一位大祭司，對我們本是合適的。他是聖潔、沒有邪惡、沒有玷污、從罪人中分別出來、高過眾天的。他不必像那些大祭司，天天先為自己的罪獻祭，然後為人民的罪獻祭；因為他獻上了自己，就把這事一次而永遠的成全了。

然後向那患痲風病求潔淨的人身上彈七次，就可以宣布他潔淨；又讓那隻活鳥飛到田野去。

耶穌為我們的過犯被交去處死，為我們的稱義而復活。

神使那無罪的替我們成為有罪的，使我們在他裡面成為神的義。

原來他擔當了我們的病患，背負了我們的痛苦；我們卻以為他受責打，被神擊打和苦待了。然而他是為了我們的過犯被刺透，為了我們的罪孽被壓傷；使我們得平安的懲罰加在他身上，因他受了鞭傷，我們才得醫治。我們眾人都如羊走迷了路，各人偏行己路；耶和華卻把我們眾人的罪孽，都歸在他身上。他被虐待，受痛苦的時候，他並不開口；他像羊羔被牽去屠宰，又像羊在剪羊毛的人面前寂然無聲，他也是這樣不開口。他受拘禁和審判以後被帶走；至於他那個世代的人中，有誰想到從活人之地被剪除，被擊打，是因我子民的過犯呢？雖然他從來沒有行過強暴，他的口裡也沒有詭詐，人還是使他與惡人同埋，但死的時候與財主同葬。耶和華卻喜悅把他壓傷，使他受痛苦；耶和華若以他的性命作贖罪祭，他必看見後裔，並且得享長壽；耶和華所喜悅的，必在他手中亨通。他受了生命之苦以後，必看見光明，並且心滿意足；我的義僕必使許多人因認識他而得稱為義，他也必背負他們的罪孽。

亞倫兩手按在那隻活山羊頭上，承認以色列人的一切罪孽和他們的過犯，就是他們一切罪孽。把它們都歸在那山羊的頭上；然後經由已預定的人，把羊送到曠野裡去。那隻山羊就擔當他們的一切罪孽，把它們帶到一個完全隔離的地；所以那人要把那隻山羊送到曠野裡去。

主為我們捨命，這樣，我們就知道甚麼是愛；我們也應當為弟兄捨命。

照著天上樣式作的既然必須這樣去潔淨，天上物體的本身，就應該用更美的祭品去潔淨了。因為基督不是進了人手所做的聖所（那不過是真聖所的表象），而是進到天上，現在替我們顯露在神的面前。
