“ Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. If a woman becomes pregnant and gives birth to a son, she will be ceremonially unclean for seven days, just as she is unclean during her menstrual period.

“你把以下条例告诉以色列人。“如果有妇人生了男婴，她就要不洁净七天，像在经期内不洁净一样。

“你要告诉以色列人：如果有妇人怀孕，生了男孩，她就不洁净七天，好像患病污秽的日子不洁净一样。

「你曉諭以色列人說：若有婦人懷孕生男孩，她就不潔淨七天，像在月經污穢的日子不潔淨一樣。

「你要吩咐以色列人說：婦人若懷孕生男孩，就不潔淨七天，像在月經污穢的期間不潔淨一樣。

「你要吩咐以色列人說：婦人若懷孕生男孩，就不潔淨七天，像在月經污穢的期間不潔淨一樣。

告以色列族云、婦懷妊生男、必蒙不潔、歷至七日、如癸水行時之不潔然、

告以色列族云、婦懷妊生男、必蒙不潔、歷至七日、如癸水適至、別室居處然。

爾告以色列人云、若婦懷孕生子、必不潔七日、與行經之時不潔無異、

“ Say to the Israelites:‘ A woman who becomes pregnant and gives birth to a son will be ceremonially unclean for seven days, just as she is unclean during her monthly period.

“ Speak to the Israelites. Tell them,‘ Suppose a woman becomes pregnant and has a baby boy. Then she will be“ unclean” for seven days. It is the same as when she is“ unclean” during her monthly period.

“ Speak to the people of Israel, saying, If a woman conceives and bears a male child, then she shall be unclean seven days. As at the time of her menstruation, she shall be unclean.

“ Tell the Israelites: When a woman becomes pregnant and gives birth to a male child, she will be unclean seven days, as she is during the days of her menstrual impurity.

“ Speak to the sons of Israel, saying:‘ When a woman gives birth and delivers a male child, then she shall be unclean for seven days; as she is in the days of her menstruation, she shall be unclean.

“ Speak to the children of Israel, saying:‘ If a woman has conceived, and borne a male child, then she shall be unclean seven days; as in the days of her customary impurity she shall be unclean.

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman conceive seed, and bear a man- child, then she shall be unclean seven days; as in the days of the impurity of her sickness shall she be unclean.

“ Tell the Israelites: When a woman becomes pregnant and gives birth to a male child, she will be unclean seven days, as she is during the days of her menstrual impurity.

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, If a woman have conceived seed, and born a man child: then she shall be unclean seven days; according to the days of the separation for her infirmity shall she be unclean.

“ Tell the Israelites,‘ When a woman produces offspring and bears a male child, she will be unclean seven days, as she is unclean during the days of her menstruation.

“ Speak to the children of Israel, saying,‘ If a woman conceives, and bears a male child, then she shall be unclean seven days; as in the days of her monthly period she shall be unclean.

“ Whenever a woman has her menstrual period, she will be ceremonially unclean for seven days. Anyone who touches her during that time will be unclean until evening.

How can a mortal be innocent before God? Can anyone born of a woman be pure?

Then God blessed them and said,“ Be fruitful and multiply. Fill the earth and govern it. Reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, and all the animals that scurry along the ground.”

Who can bring purity out of an impure person? No one!

Then it was time for their purification offering, as required by the law of Moses after the birth of a child; so his parents took him to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord.

Can any mortal be pure? Can anyone born of a woman be just?

“ Do not have sexual relations with a woman during her period of menstrual impurity.

For I was born a sinner— yes, from the moment my mother conceived me.

When Adam sinned, sin entered the world. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned.Yes, people sinned even before the law was given. But it was not counted as sin because there was not yet any law to break.Still, everyone died— from the time of Adam to the time of Moses— even those who did not disobey an explicit commandment of God, as Adam did. Now Adam is a symbol, a representation of Christ, who was yet to come.But there is a great difference between Adam’s sin and God’s gracious gift. For the sin of this one man, Adam, brought death to many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of forgiveness to many through this other man, Jesus Christ.And the result of God’s gracious gift is very different from the result of that one man’s sin. For Adam’s sin led to condemnation, but God’s free gift leads to our being made right with God, even though we are guilty of many sins.For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.Yes, Adam’s one sin brings condemnation for everyone, but Christ’s one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone.Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But because one other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.

Then he said to the woman,“ I will sharpen the pain of your pregnancy, and in pain you will give birth. And you will desire to control your husband, but he will rule over you.”
