“ Say to the Israelites:‘ Of all the animals that live on land, these are the ones you may eat:

“ Speak to the Israelites. Tell them,‘ Many animals live on land. Here are the only ones you can eat.

“ Speak to the people of Israel, saying, These are the living things that you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth.

“ Give the following instructions to the people of Israel.“ Of all the land animals, these are the ones you may use for food.

“ Tell the Israelites: You may eat all these kinds of land animals.

“ Speak to the sons of Israel, saying,‘ These are the creatures which you may eat from all the animals that are on the earth.

“ Speak to the children of Israel, saying,‘ These are the animals which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth:

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These are the living things which ye may eat among all the beasts that are on the earth.

“ Tell the Israelites: You may eat all these kinds of land animals.

Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, These[ are] the beasts which ye shall eat among all the beasts that[ are] on the earth.

“ Tell the Israelites:‘ This is the kind of creature you may eat from among all the animals that are on the land.

“ Speak to the children of Israel, saying,‘ These are the living things which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth.

What goes into someone’s mouth does not defile them, but what comes out of their mouth, that is what defiles them.” (niv)

They are only a matter of food and drink and various ceremonial washings— external regulations applying until the time of the new order. (niv)

And since you are to regard them as unclean, you must not eat their meat; you must regard their carcasses as unclean. (niv)

But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean.If your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Although they chew the cud, they do not have a divided hoof; they are ceremonially unclean for you.The pig is also unclean; although it has a divided hoof, it does not chew the cud. You are not to eat their meat or touch their carcasses.Of all the creatures living in the water, you may eat any that has fins and scales.But anything that does not have fins and scales you may not eat; for you it is unclean.You may eat any clean bird.But these you may not eat: the eagle, the vulture, the black vulture,the red kite, the black kite, any kind of falcon,any kind of raven,the horned owl, the screech owl, the gull, any kind of hawk,the little owl, the great owl, the white owl,the desert owl, the osprey, the cormorant,the stork, any kind of heron, the hoopoe and the bat.All flying insects are unclean to you; do not eat them.But any winged creature that is clean you may eat.Do not eat anything you find already dead. You may give it to the foreigner residing in any of your towns, and they may eat it, or you may sell it to any other foreigner. But you are a people holy to the Lord your God. Do not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk. (niv)

There are, however, some flying insects that walk on all fours that you may eat: those that have jointed legs for hopping on the ground. (niv)

For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving,because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed. “‘ There are some that only chew the cud or only have a divided hoof, but you must not eat them. The camel, though it chews the cud, does not have a divided hoof; it is ceremonially unclean for you. (niv)

Nothing outside a person can defile them by going into them. Rather, it is what comes out of a person that defiles them.” (niv)

Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by eating ceremonial foods, which is of no benefit to those who do so. (niv)

“‘ If an animal that you are allowed to eat dies, anyone who touches its carcass will be unclean till evening. (niv)

Then I said,“ Not so, Sovereign Lord! I have never defiled myself. From my youth until now I have never eaten anything found dead or torn by wild animals. No impure meat has ever entered my mouth.” (niv)

One person’s faith allows them to eat anything, but another, whose faith is weak, eats only vegetables.The one who eats everything must not treat with contempt the one who does not, and the one who does not eat everything must not judge the one who does, for God has accepted them. (niv)
