耶和華兮、請爾視之、所責者誰、婦之初娩、自食其子、祭司先知、見戮於聖所兮。

以色列王沿城垣而過、聞婦呼曰、我主我王與、其助我。曰如耶和華不助爾、我何由助爾、或由穀場、或由酒醡、俱無從得。又曰、爾何事。曰、昔有一婦、告我曰、今日食爾子、明日食我子。於是烹我子而食之、次日我告彼曰、今當食爾子、乃彼匿其子。

野犬猶哺其子、我民之婦、殘忍難堪、若曠野之鴕鳥兮、

爾敵環而攻爾、勢甚危迫、使爾食己所生之子女、即爾上帝耶和華所賜者。如是在爾中、最猗儺荏弱之人、必睚眦兄弟、及眷愛之妻室、留遺之子女、不以所食之嬰孩分給之、蓋敵攻邑門、見圍甚迫、物無從得故也。爾中猗儺纖弱之女、因其嬌嬈、以足踐地、猶且不屑、迨敵圍爾邑、迫切之甚、婦至缺乏、俱無所得、則私藏所出之胞衣、所生之嬰孩、以供所食、即其所愛之夫、所生之子女、亦被睚眦、毫不分給。

我降災於爾邑、使父子相食、遺民散於四方。

使爾殘食子女。

斯民彼戮、我目流淚而不止兮。
