Look down from heaven, and behold from the habitation of thy holiness and of thy glory: where are thy zeal and thy mighty acts? the yearning of thy heart and thy compassions are restrained toward me.

Remember, O Jehovah, what is come upon us: Behold, and see our reproach.

See, O Jehovah, and behold to whom thou hast done thus! Shall the women eat their fruit, the children that are dandled in the hands? Shall the priest and the prophet be slain in the sanctuary of the Lord?

Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might quake at thy presence,

For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; From heaven did Jehovah behold the earth;To hear the sighing of the prisoner; To loose those that are appointed to death;

Turn again, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: Look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine,And the stock which thy right hand planted, And the branch that thou madest strong for thyself.It is burned with fire, it is cut down: They perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.

O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, let thine anger and thy wrath, I pray thee, be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain; because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are round about us.Now therefore, O our God, hearken unto the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies’ sake.O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God, because thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem; they shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that are Jehovah’s remembrancers, take ye no rest,and give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.
