人將國中被囚的都壓在腳下，

足踐世之獄囚、

蹂躪俘囚、罔上陷人、屈害平民者、俱主所不悅兮。

To crush underfoot all prisoners in the land,

Every time people crush prisoners under their feet, the Lord knows all about it.

To crush underfoot all the prisoners of the earth,

If people crush underfoot all the prisoners of the land,

Crushing all the prisoners of the land beneath one’s feet,

To crush under one’s feet All the prisoners of the earth,

To crush under foot all the prisoners of the earth,

Crushing all the prisoners of the land beneath one’s feet,

To crush under his feet all the prisoners of the earth,

To crush underfoot all the earth’s prisoners,

To crush under foot all the prisoners of the earth,

As for you also, because of the blood of My covenant with you, I have set your prisoners free from the waterless pit.Return to the stronghold, you prisoners who have the hope; This very day I am declaring that I will restore double to you.

This is what your Lord, the Lord, your God Who contends for His people says:“ Behold, I have taken from your hand the cup of staggering, The chalice of My anger; You will never drink it again.I will put it into the hand of your tormentors, Who have said to you,‘ Lie down so that we may walk over you.’ You have also made your back like the ground, And like the street for those who walk over it.”

Saying to those who are bound,‘ Go free,’ To those who are in darkness,‘ Show yourselves.’ They will feed along the roads, And their pasture will be on all bare heights.

For the Lord hears the needy, And does not despise those of His who are prisoners.

For this is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says:“ The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor At the time that it is tread down; In just a little while the time of harvest will come for her.”“ Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon has devoured me, he has crushed me, He has set me down like an empty vessel; He has swallowed me like a monster, He has filled his stomach with my delicacies; He has washed me away.May the violence done to me and to my flesh be upon Babylon,” The inhabitant of Zion will say; And,“ May my blood be upon the inhabitants of Chaldea,” Jerusalem will say.Therefore this is what the Lord says:“ Behold, I am going to plead your case And take vengeance for you; And I will dry up her sea And make her fountain dry.

To hear the groaning of the prisoner, To set free those who were doomed to death,

This is what the Lord of armies says:“ The sons of Israel are oppressed, And the sons of Judah as well; And all who took them captive have held them firmly, They have refused to let them go.Their Redeemer is strong, the Lord of armies is His name; He will vigorously plead their case So that He may bring rest to their land, But turmoil to the inhabitants of Babylon.

Let the groaning of the prisoner come before You; According to the greatness of Your power, let those who are doomed to die remain.

Who made the world like a wilderness And overthrew its cities, Who did not allow his prisoners to go home?’

“ Israel is a scattered flock, the lions have driven them away. The first one who devoured him was the king of Assyria, and this last one who has gnawed his bones is Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.
