凡過耶路撒冷者、鼓掌搖首、作怨憤之聲、曰、天下素稱華國樂土者、非此邑乎。

All who pass your way clap their hands at you; they scoff and shake their heads at Daughter Jerusalem:“ Is this the city that was called the perfection of beauty, the joy of the whole earth?”

All those who pass by clap their hands and make fun of you. They laugh at you and shake their heads at the city of Jerusalem. They say,“ Could that be the city that was called perfect and beautiful? Is that the city that brought joy to everyone on earth?”

All who pass along the way clap their hands at you; they hiss and wag their heads at the daughter of Jerusalem:“ Is this the city that was called the perfection of beauty, the joy of all the earth?”

All who pass by jeer at you. They scoff and insult beautiful Jerusalem, saying,“ Is this the city called‘ Most Beautiful in All the World’ and‘ Joy of All the Earth’?”

All who pass by scornfully clap their hands at you. They hiss and shake their heads at Daughter Jerusalem: Is this the city that was called the perfection of beauty, the joy of the whole earth?

All who pass along the way Clap their hands in ridicule at you; They hiss and shake their heads At the daughter of Jerusalem:“ Is this the city of which they said,‘ Perfect in beauty, A joy to all the earth’?”

郇山北方、大君京都、崇高華美、為全地所喜悅、

致其地荒蕪、永為人所恥笑、凡過之者、必駭愕搖頭、

從至美之郇山、天主顯現、

主天主如是云、爾見以色列地遭難、則鼓掌頓足、心藐視且欣喜、

我必使此邑、令人驚異、令人驚異或作變為荒蕪為人所恥笑、經過之人、必因其諸災、驚異恥笑、

此邑素淫樂、安居無畏、心中曰、惟有我、我外無他、忽變荒蕪、獸伏之處、凡過之者、俱戲笑搖首、

凡見我者皆戲笑我、張口搖首、

爾所受之傷、無藥可治、所受之損、終必致死、凡聞爾音信者、必因爾鼓掌、蓋爾之兇惡、兇惡或作暴虐誰未受之、

爾猶守暗利之陋規、陋規或作惡習原文作律例行亞哈家一切所行、從其所謀、故我必使爾城邑荒蕪、使居民為人所訕笑、我民受辱、爾曹亦必當之、我民受辱爾曹亦必當之有作爾曹必負萬民之恥笑

則我將於所賜之地、翦滅以色列人、必擯棄為我名所區別為聖之殿、使以色列人為萬民作歌譏刺、此殿今雖崇高、凡過之者、必驚訝歎息歎息或作作嗤笑之聲曰、主如是行於斯地與斯殿何故、則必答曰、緣斯民棄主其天主、昔導其列祖出伊及者、親暱他神、奉事崇拜、故主降以是災、○

爾之諸敵、向爾張口、嗤笑切齒、曰、我儕已吞噬之、我所望之日、今已至矣、我所目睹、

摧折其幕、幕或作屏藩若毀園之藩籬、民集而拜主之所、亦使傾圮、主在郇邑、使節期安息日、悉被遺忘、大震其怒、擯棄王與祭司、

爾後世子孫、及遠來之客旅、見此地之禍、暨主所降之災、硫磺與鹽、鹽或作硝焚燬徧地、不得耕種、不產物、不生草、如所多瑪、俄摩拉、押瑪、洗扁、主震怒時所傾覆者、彼與列邦人皆必問曰、主何為如此待此地、其怒若是之烈何故、人必對曰、緣斯民列祖之主天主、昔導之出伊及、與之立約而民背之、往奉事叩拜異邦之神、即素所不識之神、主未嘗命彼奉事者、故主震怒斯地、以此書所載之諸禍禍或作詛降之、大震其怒、氣忿甚烈、以斯民由其地拔除、投棄於異邦、有如今日之事、

我必使我僕巴比倫王尼布甲尼撒、奉我遣率北方各族、來攻斯地與其居民、及四周之鄰國、必滅之殆盡、使其地永為荒涼、令人驚駭恥笑、此乃主所言、

此殿今雖崇高、凡過之者必驚訝問曰、主如是行於斯地與斯殿何故、

巴比倫必為荒邱、為豺狼豺狼或作野犬之洞穴、無人居處、令人驚駭、被人恥笑、

耶路撒冷多犯罪愆、故被厭棄、素尊之者、見其裸體則藐視之、彼亦欷歔而退、

使異邦人以我儕為笑談、使列國之人皆搖首侮慢我、我所受之凌辱、終日在我面前、我之羞愧、蒙蔽我臉、

天主降災其身、不施矜恤、欲逃避天主手而不能、人向彼鼓掌而戲笑之、驅離故處、

過者譏之、搖首曰、

至聖榮華之殿、即我列祖頌美主之所、被火焚燬、我所羨慕之美地、盡屬荒涼、

過者譏之、搖首曰、噫、毀聖殿三日又建之者、

必使鋒刃饑饉疫癘窘迫之、使天下萬邦、加之凌虐、使天下萬邦加之凌虐或作必使之在天下萬邦流離無所必使之在我所逐之之各邦受咒詛、令人驚駭、被譏笑、受羞辱、

予耶路撒冷、及猶大諸邑、予厥王公、使邑毀滅、土地荒蕪、被人恥笑咒詛、有如今日、
