我看见主站在祭坛旁，说：“你要击打柱顶，使门槛震动，要剪除众人当中为首的，他们中最后的，我必用刀杀戮；无一人能逃避，无一人能逃脱。“虽然他们挖透阴间，我的手必从那里拉出他们；虽然他们爬到天上，我必从那里拿下他们；虽然藏在迦密山顶，我必在那里搜寻，擒拿他们；虽然离开我眼前藏在海底，我必在那里命令蛇咬他们；虽然被仇敌掳去，我也必在那里命令刀剑杀戮他们；我必定睛在他们身上，降祸不降福。”

至于你们幸存的人，我要使他们在敌人之地心中惊慌，甚至风吹落叶的声音也把他们吓跑。他们要逃避，像人逃避刀剑，虽无人追赶，却要跌倒。虽然无人追赶，他们却要彼此绊倒，像逃避刀剑一样。你们在仇敌面前必站立不住。你们要在列国中灭亡，敌人之地要吞灭你们，你们幸存的人必因自己的罪孽在敌人之地衰残，也要因祖先的罪孽衰残。
