我看見主站在祭壇旁邊；他說：你要擊打柱頂，使門檻震動，打碎柱頂，落在眾人頭上；所剩下的人，我必用刀殺戮，無一人能逃避，無一人能逃脫。他們雖然挖透陰間，我的手必取出他們來；雖然爬上天去，我必拿下他們來；雖然藏在迦密山頂，我必搜尋，捉出他們來；雖然從我眼前藏在海底，我必命蛇咬他們；雖被仇敵擄去，我必命刀劍殺戮他們；我必向他們定住眼目，降禍不降福。

至於你們剩下的人，我要使他們在仇敵之地心驚膽怯。葉子被風吹的響聲，要追趕他們；他們要逃避，像人逃避刀劍，無人追趕，卻要跌倒。無人追趕，他們要彼此撞跌，像在刀劍之前。你們在仇敵面前也必站立不住。你們要在列邦中滅亡；仇敵之地要吞吃你們。你們剩下的人必因自己的罪孽和祖宗的罪孽在仇敵之地消滅。

巴比倫王就把他們擊殺在哈馬地的利比拉。這樣，猶大人被擄去離開本地。

耶和華說：「我要召許多打魚的把以色列人打上來，然後我要召許多打獵的，從各山上、各岡上、各石穴中獵取他們。

凡脫離刀劍的，迦勒底王都擄到巴比倫去，作他和他子孫的僕婢，直到波斯國興起來。這就應驗耶和華藉耶利米口所說的話：地享受安息；因為地土荒涼便守安息，直滿了七十年。
