緣此我為哭泣、潸然出涕、蓋慰者遠去、不加拯救兮、敵人勝予、子民煢獨兮。

緣此我哭泣不已、目中流淚如水、能慰藉我、蘇醒我心者、與我遠離、我子俱亡、因敵人得勝、

“ This is why I weep and my eyes overflow with tears. No one is near to comfort me, no one to restore my spirit. My children are destitute because the enemy has prevailed.”

“ That’s why I am weeping. Tears are flowing from my eyes. No one is near to comfort me. No one can heal my spirit. My children don’t have anything. My enemies are much too strong for me.”

她在夜间痛哭，泪流满面。情人中没有一个前来安慰。朋友都出卖她，与她为敌。

因同胞被毁灭，我泪流成河。我的眼泪涌流不息，

锡安的城墙啊，你要从心里向主呼求！你的眼泪要像江河一样昼夜涌流，不歇不眠。

如果你们因为骄傲而不肯听，我会暗自哭泣、泪流满面，因为耶和华的子民将要被掳。

我哭得眼睛失明，心如刀割，肝胆欲碎，因为人民惨遭毁灭，儿童和婴孩昏倒在街头。

“耶利米，你要对他们说，‘让我昼夜泪眼汪汪吧，因为我的同胞遭受重创，遍体鳞伤。

敌人做了她的主人，兴旺发达。因为她作恶多端，耶和华叫她饱受困苦，她的孩子被敌人掳去。锡安的尊荣消逝，她的首领像找不到草吃的鹿，无力逃脱敌人的追赶。

耶稣快到耶路撒冷时，看见那城就哀哭，说：“今天你若知道那能带给你平安的事就好了！可惜这事现在是隐藏的，你看不见！因为有一天敌人要在你周围筑起壁垒把你团团围住，四面攻击你。他们要把你夷为平地，毁灭你城墙里的儿女，不会留下两块叠在一起的石头，因为你没有认识到上帝眷顾你的时刻。”

于是，我又观察日光之下的一切欺压之事。我看见受欺压的泪流满面，无人安慰。因为欺压者有权有势，所以无人安慰他们。

我泪流成河，因为人们不遵行你的律法。

锡安的宝贝子民本来贵如黄金，现在竟被视为陶匠制作的瓦器！豺狼尚且哺养自己的幼儿，我的子民却像荒野的鸵鸟一样残忍无情。婴儿干渴难忍，舌头紧贴上膛；孩童乞求食物，却无人给予。昔日锦衣玉食、生活奢侈的，如今却流落街头，躺卧在粪堆中。虽然无人攻击，所多玛却在顷刻之间倾覆。我子民比所多玛受到的惩罚更重。锡安的首领曾比雪纯净，比奶更白，身体比红宝石更红润，相貌美如蓝宝石。现在，他们的面目比煤炭还黑，走在街上无人认得。他们骨瘦如柴，干如枯木。死于刀下的胜过死于饥饿的，后者因田间缺粮而活活饿死。我的百姓遭毁灭时，慈母亲手煮自己的儿女充饥。

她的裙子沾满污秽，她未曾想过自己的结局。她的败落无比凄惨，无人安慰。她哭喊道：“耶和华啊，仇敌已经获胜，求你垂顾我的苦难！”

你们纵然把孩子养大，我也要夺去他们的性命，一个也不留。我撇弃你们的时候，你们就有祸了！

因为死亡从窗户爬进我们的城堡，吞灭街上的孩童和广场上的青年。

他们的辱骂使我心碎，令我绝望无助。我渴望有人同情，却没有一个；期望有人安慰，却无一人。

“耶和华啊，求你看看，你曾这样对付过谁呢？母亲岂能吃自己的孩子？祭司和先知岂能在主的圣所中被杀？“老人和小孩陈尸街头，少男少女都丧身刀下。你在发怒的日子杀了他们，毫不留情。“你从四面八方召人攻击我，如同召集人过节。耶和华发怒的日子，无人得以逃脱，无人得以幸免。敌人杀光了我养育的孩子。”

我在基督里说真话，绝无谎言。我被圣灵感动的良心可以作证，我心里极为忧愁，痛苦不止！为了我的弟兄——我的同胞以色列人，即使我自己被咒诅、与基督隔绝，我也愿意！

我要为众山悲伤痛哭，为旷野的草原唱哀歌，因为那里一片荒凉，杳无人迹，听不见牲畜的叫声，飞鸟和走兽也逃去无踪。

真希望我的头是水泉，眼是泪泉，好为我被杀的同胞昼夜哭泣；
