All the Israelites, with their elders, officials and judges, were standing on both sides of the ark of the covenant of the Lord, facing the Levitical priests who carried it. Both the foreigners living among them and the native- born were there. Half of the people stood in front of Mount Gerizim and half of them in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses the servant of the Lord had formerly commanded when he gave instructions to bless the people of Israel.

They were standing on both sides of the ark of the covenant of the Lord. All the Israelites, including outsiders and citizens, were there. Israel’s elders, officials and judges were also there. All of them faced the priests, who were Levites. They were carrying the ark. Half of the people stood in front of Mount Gerizim. The other half stood in front of Mount Ebal. Moses, the servant of the Lord, had earlier told them to do it. Moses told them to do it when he had given directions to bless the Israelites.

And all Israel, sojourner as well as native born, with their elders and officers and their judges, stood on opposite sides of the ark before the Levitical priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, half of them in front of Mount Gerizim and half of them in front of Mount Ebal, just as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded at the first, to bless the people of Israel.

Then all the Israelites— foreigners and native born alike— along with the elders, officers, and judges, were divided into two groups. One group stood in front of Mount Gerizim, the other in front of Mount Ebal. Each group faced the other, and between them stood the Levitical priests carrying the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant. This was all done according to the commands that Moses, the servant of the Lord, had previously given for blessing the people of Israel.

All Israel— resident alien and citizen alike— with their elders, officers, and judges, stood on either side of the ark of the LORD’s covenant facing the Levitical priests who carried it. Half of them were in front of Mount Gerizim and half in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses the LORD’s servant had commanded earlier concerning blessing the people of Israel.

And all Israel with their elders, officers, and their judges were standing on both sides of the ark before the Levitical priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, the stranger as well as the native. Half of them stood in front of Mount Gerizim, and half of them in front of Mount Ebal, just as Moses the servant of the Lord had commanded at first to bless the people of Israel.

All Israel, foreigner and citizen alike, with their elders, officers, and judges, stood on either side of the ark of the Lord’s covenant facing the Levitical priests who carried it. As Moses the Lord’s servant had commanded earlier, half of them were in front of Mount Gerizim and half in front of Mount Ebal, to bless the people of Israel.

And all Israel, and their elders, and officers, and their judges, stood on this side the ark and on that side before the priests the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, as well the stranger, as he that was born among them; half of them over against mount Gerizim, and half of them over against mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded before, that they should bless the people of Israel.

All the people, rulers, leaders, and judges were standing on either side of the ark, in front of the Levitical priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the LORD. Both resident foreigners and native Israelites were there. Half the people stood in front of Mount Gerizim and the other half in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses the LORD’s servant had previously instructed to them to do for the formal blessing ceremony.

All Israel, with their elders, officers, and judges, stood on both sides of the ark before the Levitical priests, who carried the ark of Yahweh’s covenant, the foreigner as well as the native; half of them in front of Mount Gerizim, and half of them in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses the servant of Yahweh had commanded at the first, that they should bless the people of Israel.

耶和華你的神領你進入你要佔領為業之地以後，你就要把祝福擺在基利心山上，把咒詛擺在以巴路山上。

你要召集人民、男人、女人、孩子，以及你城裡的寄居者，叫他們可以聽見，叫他們可以學習，好敬畏耶和華你們的神，謹守遵行這律法的一切話，

摩西把這律法寫好了，就交給抬耶和華約櫃的利未支派的祭司子孫，和以色列的眾長老。

那天摩西又吩咐人民：“你們過了約旦河以後，西緬、利未、猶大、以薩迦、約瑟、便雅憫等支派的人，要站在基利心山上為人民祝福；流本、迦得、亞設、西布倫、但、拿弗他利等支派的人，要站在以巴路山上宣布咒詛的話。利未人要向以色列眾人大聲說：

對於犯了無心之失的人，無論是本地人或是寄居在他們中間的外人，都有一樣的法例。

摩西就吩咐抬耶和華約櫃的利未人說：

吩咐人民說：“你們看見耶和華你們的神的約櫃，又看見抬約櫃的利未支派的祭司的時候，就要從你們所住的地方出發，跟在約櫃後面走。

本地人和寄居在你們中間的外族人，都同屬一例。”

抬耶和華約櫃的祭司從約旦河中間上來的時候，祭司的腳掌一提起來踏在乾地上，約旦河的水就流回原處，像以前一樣漲過兩岸。

你們和住在你們中間的外人，都只有一樣的法規，一樣的典章。”

那時，約書亞在以巴路山上，為耶和華以色列的神築了一座祭壇，是照著耶和華的僕人摩西吩咐以色列人的，照著摩西律法書上所寫的，用未經過鐵器打鑿的整塊石塊築成的一座祭壇；在這祭壇之上，眾人向耶和華獻燔祭，也獻平安祭。約書亞在那裡，當著以色列人面前，把摩西所寫的摩西律法抄寫在石頭上。

約書亞在示劍召集以色列各支派，又把以色列的長老、首領、審判官和官長都召了來，他們就站在神面前。

約書亞就把全體以色列人、他們的長老、首領、審判官和官長，都召了來，對他們說：“我已經老了，年紀不小了。

大衛把撒督和亞比亞他兩位祭司，以及烏列、亞帥雅、約珥、示瑪雅、以列和亞米拿達幾位利未人，召了來，對他們說：“你們是利未人各家族的首領，你們和你們的親族都要自潔，好把以色列的神耶和華的約櫃抬上來，到我為它預備的地方去。先前沒有你們，耶和華我們的神就擊打我們，因為我們沒有按照定例尋求他。”於是祭司和利未人自潔，好把以色列的神耶和華的約櫃抬上來。利未支派的子孫照著耶和華的話，就是摩西所吩咐的，用肩和槓來抬神的約櫃。

人民離開帳棚出發，要過約旦河的時候，抬約櫃的祭司在人民的前面。

無論是寄居的或是本地人，你們都應一律對待，因為我是耶和華你們的神。”

“今日你們全都站在耶和華你們的神面前；你們的首領、族長、長老、官長和以色列所有的男子，你們的小孩、妻子和在你營中的寄居者，以及為你們劈柴挑水的人，都站在耶和華你們的神面前，

約書亞又吩咐祭司說：“你們要抬起約櫃，在人民前面過河去。”於是他們抬起約櫃，走在人民的前面。

抬約櫃的祭司站在約旦河中間，直到耶和華吩咐約書亞告訴人民的一切事，就是照著摩西吩咐約書亞的一切事，都辦完了，人民就急忙過去了。

於是嫩的兒子約書亞把祭司召了來，對他們說：“你們要抬起約櫃；並派七個祭司拿著七個羊角，走在耶和華約櫃的前面。”
