於是哈曼被掛在他為末底改所預備的木架上；王的憤怒才平息了。

隨後，約書亞把這五個王殺死，掛在五棵樹上。他們就被掛在樹上，直到晚上。日落的時候，約書亞吩咐人把屍首從樹上取下來，丟在他們躲過的洞裏，把幾塊大石頭放在洞口，直存到今日。當日，約書亞奪了瑪基大，用刀擊殺城中的人和王，把城中所有人完全滅盡，沒有留下一個倖存者。他處置瑪基大王，像從前處置耶利哥王一樣。

我又看見一位天使站在太陽中，向天空一切的飛鳥大聲喊着說：「你們聚集來赴神的大宴席，為要吃君王的肉、將軍的肉、壯士的肉、馬和騎士的肉、一切自主的和為奴的，以及尊貴的和卑賤的肉。」
