When you hear them sound a long blast on the trumpets, have the whole army give a loud shout; then the wall of the city will collapse and the army will go up, everyone straight in.”

以色列民有信、巡耶利哥城歷七日、城垣果圮、

既至於營、以色列族大聲號呼、地為震動。

蓋余用兵、非任血氣、乃託上帝有能、破諸堅壘、舉凡計謀、驕態、矜高、逆上帝道者、悉敗之、而以其心歸服基督、

毀其城垣、使成平地。

以色列族、猶大人、並起、鼓譟追襲敵眾、入谷至於以革倫邑門、非利士人見殺者、尸橫沙勑音道、延至迦特以革倫。

今我欲雪宿忿、視其所行而加報施、爾曹當鼓譟直前、毀其垣墉、傾其基址、使巴比倫投誠。

當是時敵人見殺、其樓傾圮、主醫民傷痍、救民疾苦、崇山峻嶺、各有澗溪、月華朗耀、皎若日光、日之光輝、加以七倍、明如七日同懸、

猶大人回顧、見前後受攻、則籲耶和華祭司吹角。猶太人號呼時、上帝擊耶羅破暗、與以色列族眾、為亞庇雅猶大人所敗。

角鳴愈久、聲愈宏遠、摩西禱告、上帝應之以聲。

越至七次、祭司吹角、約書亞諭民曰、今當號呼、蓋耶和華以斯城畀爾。

三隊亦吹角破甕、左執炬、右執角、呼云、耶和華及其田之刃。各立其所、當敵營之四周、敵呼而遁。三百人吹角、耶和華使遍營之人、自相攻擊、敵眾奔至西哩勒之伯示大、又至亞伯米何拉界之大八。

於是祭司吹角、民聞之則號呼、其聲清越、城垣傾圮、民得前進、而取其城、

既與民議、使人禮服謳歌於軍前、頌讚曰、耶和華恆懷矜憫、當頌讚之。甫頌讚時、耶和華發伏兵、攻猶大之敵、使亞捫摩押二族、及西耳山人、互相攻擊。

大闢夙興、以羊付牧者、遵父命而行、至列車之所、見軍旅盡出、鼓譟以戰。
