Now the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest. Yet as soon as the priests who carried the ark reached the Jordan and their feet touched the water’s edge,

The water of the Jordan was going over its banks. It always does that at the time the crops are being gathered. The priests came to the river. Their feet touched the water’s edge.

and as soon as those bearing the ark had come as far as the Jordan, and the feet of the priests bearing the ark were dipped in the brink of the water( now the Jordan overflows all its banks throughout the time of harvest),

It was the harvest season, and the Jordan was overflowing its banks. But as soon as the feet of the priests who were carrying the Ark touched the water at the river’s edge,

and when those who were carrying the ark came up to the Jordan and the feet of the priests carrying the ark stepped down into the edge of the water( for the Jordan overflows all its banks all the days of harvest),

and as those who bore the ark came to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark dipped in the edge of the water( for the Jordan overflows all its banks during the whole time of harvest),

and when they that bare the ark were come unto the Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brink of the water( for the Jordan overfloweth all its banks all the time of harvest),

Now the Jordan overflows its banks throughout the harvest season. But as soon as the priests carrying the ark reached the Jordan, their feet touched the water at its edge

And as they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the priests that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water,( for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,)

When the ones carrying the ark reached the Jordan and the feet of the priests carrying the ark touched the surface of the water–( the Jordan is at flood stage all during harvest time)–

and when those who bore the ark had come to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark had dipped in the edge of the water( for the Jordan overflows all its banks all the time of harvest),

正月、約但河水漲溢、斯眾濟河、使凡在谷者遁於東西。

耶和華曰、爾與步卒爭鬥、已形困憊、焉能與驍騎角力哉、邦國平康、爾可自恃、約但漲溢、將如之何、

孰能與我比儗、孰能與我辯論、孰能為民牧、侍於我側我遴選之、以目會意、彼則疾趨、攻擊斯邦、譬彼獅子、因約但之水漲溢、出自河濱、遊於牧地、青草芊綿。

舁法匱之祭司、既出自約但、足履陸地時、河水復至、盈溢於岸、與前無異。

待舁宇宙主耶和華法匱之祭司、足履約但、河水則水自溯行、其流必斷、濤若堆立。○

使窮乏之民蹂躪之、

昔於亞筆月、暮夜之時、爾之上帝耶和華導爾出埃及、故必於是月、守逾越節、奉事爾上帝耶和華。當於其特簡之室、為人籲名之所、獻逾越祭羔、以及牛羊、奉爾上帝耶和華。屆此節期、毋食酵、歷七日、必食無酵餅、以識艱苦、昔爾出埃及、惟恐不速、故當憶是事、畢生勿忘。七日間、爾之四境、毋存其酵、節之首日薄暮、爾之胙肉、毋留於明晨。爾上帝耶和華所賜之邑、毋得隨在獻其踰越節羔、惟其特簡之室、為之籲名之所、爾於薄暮、必獻其羔、爾出埃及、於日入之後、故獻斯羔、必於斯時。烹而食之、在爾上帝耶和華特簡之室、明晨可歸己舍。六日間、必食無酵餅、七日必有會、是日為大、以奉爾上帝耶和華、咸止工作。○始用鐮刈穀之時、必核七七日、

以色列族建營於吉甲、至十四日夕、守逾越節禮、於耶利哥平原。翼日以土所產之穀、製無酵餅、及已烘之穀而食。既食土所產之穀、次日嗎嗱不降、以色列族不復得之、是年所食者、則迦南土產。○

告以色列族云、爾至我所賜之地、穫田所產、必取初實之穗一束、奉於祭司、安息日明晨、祭司以之搖於我前、冀蒙悅納、搖穗之日、必取未盈歲之牡羔一、純潔是務、燔以獻我、和油之粉一斗二升、為禮物、燔而獻我、取其馨香、酒二斤有半以為灌奠。圓饅、烘穀、嘉穗、未於其中取而獻我者毋食、以此著為永例、歷代勿替、隨往勿易。自安息日之明晨、搖穗之日、必核七七日、而盈其數、越至五旬、獻禮物於我、以薦其新、
