約書亞謂民曰、惟恐爾不能事主、因主乃至聖之天主、忌邪之天主、不赦爾愆尤罪惡、

Joshua said to the people,“ You are not able to serve the Lord. He is a holy God; he is a jealous God. He will not forgive your rebellion and your sins.

And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for he[ is] an holy God; he[ is] a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins.

Joshua warned the people,“ You will not keep worshiping the LORD, for he is a holy God. He is a jealous God who will not forgive your rebellion or your sins.

Joshua said to the people,“ You can’t serve Yahweh, for he is a holy God. He is a jealous God. He will not forgive your disobedience nor your sins.

爾當慎之、聽從其命、勿干厥怒、彼不宥爾愆、蓋我名在彼、

伯示麥人曰、此維聖之上帝耶和華、孰能立於其前、彼離我、當何往、

告以色列會眾云、我乃耶和華、爾之上帝、我聖爾亦當聖、

惟萬軍之耶和華以公而崇高、維聖之上帝以義而見聖、

勿拜跪、勿崇奉、以我耶和華爾之上帝、乃忌邪之上帝、惡我者、討其罪、自父及子、至三四世、

尊崇我上帝耶和華、於其足几前敬拜之、彼乃為聖兮、○

尊崇我上帝耶和華、敬拜於其聖山、蓋我上帝耶和華為聖兮、

勿崇奉他神、蓋耶和華乃忌邪之上帝、名為忌邪、

交相呼曰、聖哉、聖哉、聖哉、萬軍之耶和華、其榮充乎寰宇、門閾之基、因呼者之聲而震動、室盈以煙、我曰、禍哉我也、亡矣、我乃脣穢之人、居於脣穢民中、而目睹大君、萬軍之耶和華也、

未有能事二主者、蓋惡此愛彼、或重此輕彼、爾不能事上帝、又事財貨也、

當歸我為聖、蓋我耶和華乃聖、區別爾於萬民、俾爾屬我、○

爾目清潔、不視邪惡、不觀橫逆、爾何顧諟行詐者乎、惡人吞噬義於己者、爾何緘默乎、

拿俄米曰、爾之妯娌、已歸其國其神、汝其從之而歸、

曰、爾中所有異族之神、今當去之、專心歸從以色列之上帝耶和華、

錫恩於億兆、赦免愆尤、過失罪惡、惟當罰者、必不義之、於父之罪、加諸子孫、至三四世、

故我對以利家誓曰、祭品禮物、永不能贖其罪、

主耶和華、以色列之聖者曰、爾之得救、在於回轉安處、爾之得力、在於寧靜信賴、惟爾不欲、

枝枯被折、婦至燃之、斯民不慧、造之者不加矜恤、成之者不施恩惠、○

舍其路、離其途、使以色列之聖者、不復在於我前、

摩西謂亞倫曰、此乃耶和華所諭云、近我者必以我為聖、我在民前、必得其榮、亞倫默然、

惟彼訕笑上帝之使、藐視其言、譏其先知、致耶和華之怒及於其民、無可救治、

乃謂異邦所祭者祭鬼耳、非上帝也、我不欲爾與於鬼也、爾不能飲主杯、兼飲鬼杯、不能與主席、兼與鬼席、我儕可犯主忌乎、抑力勝於主乎、○

有羣眾偕行、耶穌顧之曰、人就我、而不憎其父母、妻子、兄弟、姊妹、與己生命者、不得為我徒、不負己之十架而從我者、亦不得為我徒、爾曹孰欲建臺、不先坐而計其貲、足以竣事否乎、恐或置基而不克成、見者皆哂之、曰、此人建於始、而不克成於終也、或有王出與他王戰、孰不先坐而運籌、能以一萬禦彼以二萬來攻者否乎、不然、當敵尚遠、則遣使求和矣、如是、凡爾中不盡舍所有者、不得為我徒也、
