“ The Lord has driven out before you great and powerful nations; to this day no one has been able to withstand you.

“ The Lord has driven out great and powerful nations to make room for you. To this day no one has been able to fight against you and win.

For the Lord has driven out before you great and strong nations. And as for you, no man has been able to stand before you to this day.

他必从你们面前赶出这一切国民，就是比你们更大更强的国民，你们也要得他们的地。

你平生的日子，必无一人能在你面前站立得住。我怎样与摩西同在，也必照样与你同在；我必不撇下你，也不丢弃你。

我要渐渐地将他们从你面前撵出去，等到你的人数加多，承受那地为业。

耶和华你们的神必将他们从你们面前赶出去，使他们离开你们，你们就必得他们的地为业，正如耶和华你们的神所应许的。

又要将他们的君王交在你手中，你就使他们的名从天下消灭。必无一人能在你面前站立得住，直到你将他们灭绝了。

迦勒就从那里赶出亚衲族的三个族长，就是示筛、亚希幔、挞买；

这样，耶和华将从前向他们列祖起誓所应许的全地赐给以色列人，他们就得了为业，住在其中。耶和华照着向他们列祖起誓所应许的一切话，使他们四境平安；他们一切仇敌中，没有一人在他们面前站立得住。耶和华把一切仇敌都交在他们手中。

这律法书不可离开你的口，总要昼夜思想，好使你谨守遵行这书上所写的一切话。如此，你的道路就可以亨通，凡事顺利。我岂没有吩咐你吗？你当刚强壮胆！不要惧怕，也不要惊惶；因为你无论往哪里去，耶和华你的神必与你同在。”
