Do not associate with these nations that remain among you; do not invoke the names of their gods or swear by them. You must not serve them or bow down to them.

Don’t have anything to do with the nations that remain among you. Don’t use the names of their gods for any reason at all. Don’t give your word and make promises in their names. You must not serve them. You must not bow down to them.

我對你們所說的一切，你們都要小心謹守，你們不可提別神的名，也不可讓人從你的口中聽到。

“為甚麼我要赦免你？你的兒女離棄我，指著那些不是神的起誓。我使他們飽足，他們卻去行淫，一起擠在妓院裡。

追求別神的，他們的愁苦必定加多。他們所奠的血祭，我不祭奠；我的嘴唇也不提別神的名。

不可讓他們住在你的境內，恐怕他們使你得罪我；如果你事奉他們的神，這必成為你的網羅。”

就是那些在房頂上敬拜天上萬象的，那些敬拜耶和華，指著他起誓，又指著瑪勒公起誓的，

耶和華你的神把他們交給你，你打敗了他們的時候，你要完全毀滅他們，不可與他們立約，也不可恩待他們。不可與他們通婚，不可把你的女兒嫁給他們的兒子，也不可為你的兒子娶他們的女兒。

尼波、巴力．免（以上的名字是改了的）、西比瑪；又為他們修築的城市起了別的名字。

我要把‘巴力’的名字從她口中除掉；他們的名字沒有人再提起。

不要參與暗昧無益的事，倒要把它揭露出來，

不可走進惡人的路徑，不可踏上壞人的道路。

如果你們轉離耶和華，與你們中間剩下的這些國家的餘民聯絡，和他們通婚，互相來往，

你們和不信的人不可共負一軛，義和不法有甚麼相同呢？光明和黑暗怎能相通呢？基督和彼列（“彼列”是撒但的別名）怎能和諧呢？信的和不信的有甚麼聯繫呢？神的殿和偶像怎能協調呢？我們就是永生神的殿，正如神說：“我要住在他們中間，在他們中間來往；我要作他們的神，他們要作我的子民。”所以，“主說：你們要從他們中間出來，和他們分開，不可觸摸不潔淨的東西，我就收納你們。”

你們不要自欺，“濫交朋友是會敗壞品德的。”

不可跪拜它們，也不可事奉它們，因為我耶和華你們的神是忌邪的神；恨惡我的，我必追討他們的罪，從父親到兒子，直到三四代。
