永恆主你們的上帝、他必把他們從你們面前攆出，把他們從你們面前趕掉，你們就可以取得他們的地以為業，照永恆主你們的上帝對你們所說過的。

就要把那地所有的居民從你們面前趕出去，毁壞他們一切的石頭鏨像，毁壞他們一切鑄成的像，又拆毁他們一切的邱壇；你們就要取得那地以為業，住在那裏，因為我把那地給了你們去擁為己業。

我是要漸漸把他們從你面前趕出去，等到你孳生繁衍、承受那地為產業之時為止。我必定你的境界，從蘆葦海直到非利士海，從曠野直到大河。我必將那地的居民交在你手中，使你將他們從你面前趕出去。
