at Shiloh in Canaan and said to them,“ The Lord commanded through Moses that you give us towns to live in, with pasturelands for our livestock.”

And they said to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan,“ The Lord commanded through Moses that we be given cities to dwell in, along with their pasturelands for our livestock.”

以色列全会众都聚集在示罗，把会幕设立在那里。那地已经被他们征服了。

“你吩咐以色列人，要从所得为业的地中把一些城给利未人居住，也要把这些城四围的郊野给利未人。这些城镇要归他们居住，郊外可以给他们牧放牛羊、牲畜和所有的动物。你们给利未人城的郊外，要从城墙量起，四围往外量一千肘。你们要往东量二千肘，往南量二千肘，往西量二千肘，往北量二千肘为边界，以城为中心；这城镇的郊外要归给他们。”“你们给利未人的城镇中，要设立六座逃城，让误杀人的可以逃到那里。此外还要给他们四十二座城。所以，给利未人的城一共有四十八座，连同城的郊外都给他们。从以色列人所得的产业中给利未人的这些城镇，多的要多给，少的要少给；各支派要按照所承受为业之地的多少把城镇给利未人。”

途中不要带行囊，不要带两件内衣，也不要带鞋子和手杖，因为工人得饮食是应当的。

在真道上受教的，要把一切美好的东西与施教的人分享。

善于督导教会的长老，尤其是勤劳讲道教导人的，应该得到加倍的敬奉。因为经上说：“牛在踹谷的时候，不可笼住它的嘴”；又说：“工人得工资是应当的。”

你们献给耶和华的圣地要长二万五千肘，宽一万肘。这圣地要归祭司，北长二万五千肘，西宽一万肘，东宽一万肘，南长二万五千肘。耶和华的圣所当在其中。这地要归撒督的子孙中成为圣的祭司，他们谨守我所吩咐的；当以色列人走迷的时候，他们不像那些利未人走迷了。在圣地中要特别保留一份归他们，为至圣，紧邻着利未人的地界。利未人所得的地长二万五千肘，宽一万肘，与祭司的地界相等，都长二万五千肘，宽一万肘。这地不可卖，不可换；这上好的部分不可转让给别人，因为它归耶和华为圣。剩下的地长二万五千肘、宽五千肘，要作公用，为造城、盖房、空地之用；城要在中间。以下是城的大小：北面四千五百肘，南面四千五百肘，东面四千五百肘，西面四千五百肘。城要有空地，向北二百五十肘，向南二百五十肘，向东二百五十肘，向西二百五十肘。靠着圣地并排剩余的，东长一万肘，西长一万肘；它与圣地并排，其中所出产的要作城内工人的食物。
