unless, when we enter the land, you have tied this scarlet cord in the window through which you let us down, and unless you have brought your father and mother, your brothers and all your family into your house.

那二人對羅得說：“你這裡還有甚麼人沒有？無論是女婿、兒女，或是城中所有屬你的人，都要把他們從這地方帶走。我們快要毀滅這地方了，因為控告他們的聲音在耶和華面前實在很大，所以耶和華派我們來毀滅這地方。”於是羅得出去，告訴娶了他女兒的女婿說：“你們起來離開這地方；因為耶和華就要毀滅這城。”但是他的女婿以為他在開玩笑。天快亮的時候，兩位天使催促羅得說：“起來，帶你的妻子，和你這裡的兩個女兒出去，免得你因這城的罪孽被除滅。”羅得還在猶豫不決的時候，二人因為耶和華寬容羅得，就拉著羅得的手，和他妻子的手，以及他兩個女兒的手，把他們帶出來，安置在城外。二人把他們帶出來以後，其中一位說：“逃命吧，不要回頭看，也不可留在這片平原上，要逃到山上去，免得你被除滅。”

耶和華對挪亞說：“你和你全家都要進入方舟，因為在這世代中，我見只有你在我面前是個義人。

那女人回答：“照你們的話，就這樣吧。”於是打發他們二人走了。他們走了以後，她就把朱紅色線繫在窗戶上。

現在求你們指著耶和華向我起誓：我既然恩待了你們，你們也要恩待我的父家，並且給我一個確實的憑據，放過我的父母、兄弟姊妹和他們所有的一切，救我們的命不致死亡。”

彼得和他說了話，就進去，看見許多人聚集在那裡，

當日摩西按照律法，向所有人民宣布了各樣的誡命，就拿牛犢（好些抄本在此有“和山羊”）的血和水，用朱紅色的羊毛與牛膝草，灑在律法書上和人民身上，

在這些物件上面，他們要鋪上朱紅色布，再蓋上海狗皮罩，然後把槓穿上。

耶穌說：“今天救恩到了這家，他也是亞伯拉罕的子孫。

願主賜憐憫給阿尼色弗一家的人，因為他多次使我暢快，也不以我的鎖鍊為恥；

他有話要告訴你，使你和你全家都可以得救。’

因為我怎忍看見我的同胞受害呢？我怎忍看見我的族人消滅呢？”

所以我立刻派人去請你，現在你來了，好極了！我們都在神面前，要聽主吩咐你的一切話。”

祭司要把香柏木、牛膝草、朱紅色線，都丟在燒牛的火中。

我必使你成為大國，賜福給你，使你的名為大，你也必使別人得福，

就要吩咐人為那求潔淨的人，拿兩隻潔淨的活鳥、香柏木、朱紅色線和牛膝草來。
