他們把掃羅和他兒子約拿單的骸骨埋葬在便雅憫地的洗拉，在掃羅父親基士的墳墓裡。王所吩咐的一切，眾人都行了。這事以後，神垂聽了人們為那地的禱告。

再上到欣嫩子谷，到達耶布斯南面的山坡，耶布斯就是耶路撒冷；又上到欣嫩子谷西邊的山頂，就是在利乏音的北端；

於是撒母耳動身，從吉甲上便雅憫的基比亞去；掃羅數點跟隨他的人，約有六百人。掃羅和他的兒子約拿單，以及跟隨他們的人都停留在便雅憫的迦巴，非利士人卻在密抹安營。

掃羅也回基比亞自己的家裡去了，有一些勇士與他一起回去；他們的心都被神感動。

他們過了隘口，在迦巴住宿；拉瑪人戰兢，掃羅的基比亞人逃跑。

以色列啊！從基比亞的日子以來，你就犯罪，他們仍然留在那裡，難道攻擊惡人的戰禍不能在基比亞趕上他們嗎？

主人對他說：“我們不可轉到這座不是以色列人居住的外族人的城裡去，我們過到基比亞去吧。”又對他的僕人說：“來吧，我們可以到這些地方其中一個去投宿，或在基比亞或在拉瑪。”於是他們走路過去；他們走近便雅憫人的基比亞的時候，日頭已經落了。他們從那裡轉身，要進基比亞去住宿；他們進去，坐在城裡的廣場上，因為沒有人接待他們到家裡去住宿。

人數多的，你要把產業多分給他們；人數少的，你要把產業少分給他們；要按著數點的人數，把產業分給各家族。

那利未人，就是被害的婦人的丈夫，回答說：“我和我的妾到了便雅憫的基比亞，要在那裡住宿。基比亞人民起來攻擊我，在夜間包圍我住的房子攻擊我，有意殺害我；他們把我的妾污辱致死。

又下到欣嫩子谷前面的山邊，就是利乏音谷北面的山；再下到欣嫩谷，去到耶布斯人的南邊，又下去隱．羅結；

至於住在耶路撒冷的耶布斯人，猶大人不能把他們趕走；所以耶布斯人在耶路撒冷與猶大人同住，直到今日。

你們要按著家族抽籤承受那地作產業；人多的，要把產業多分給他們；人少的，要把產業少分給他們；抽籤抽出那地歸誰，就歸誰；你們要按著宗族支派承受產業。

那一天大衛說：“攻打耶布斯人的，要把大衛心中恨惡的‘瞎子’和‘瘸子’丟進水溝裡。”因此有句俗語說：“瞎眼的或瘸腿的，都不能進殿裡。”
