but the forested hill country as well. Clear it, and its farthest limits will be yours; though the Canaanites have chariots fitted with iron and though they are strong, you can drive them out.”

You will also have the central hill country. It’s covered with trees. Cut them down and clear the land. That whole land from one end to the other will belong to you. The Canaanites use chariots that have iron parts. And those people are strong. But you can drive them out.”

but the hill country shall be yours, for though it is a forest, you shall clear it and possess it to its farthest borders. For you shall drive out the Canaanites, though they have chariots of iron, and though they are strong.”

The forests of the hill country will be yours as well. Clear as much of the land as you wish, and take possession of its farthest corners. And you will drive out the Canaanites from the valleys, too, even though they are strong and have iron chariots.”

既是這樣，我們對這些事還要怎麼說呢？神若幫助我們，誰能抵擋我們呢？

所以，我們可以勇敢地說：「主是我的幫助，我必不懼怕。人能把我怎麼樣呢？」

然而，靠着愛我們的主，在這一切的事上，我們已經得勝有餘了。

窺探那地的人中，嫩的兒子約書亞和耶孚尼的兒子迦勒撕裂衣服，對以色列全會眾說：「我們所走過、所窺探之地是極美之地。耶和華若喜愛我們，就必領我們進入那地，把這流奶與蜜之地賜給我們。但你們不可背叛耶和華，也不要怕那地的百姓，因為他們是我們的食物。保護他們的已經離開他們，耶和華卻與我們同在。不要怕他們！」

「你出去與仇敵作戰，若看見馬匹、戰車，以及比你更多的士兵，不要怕他們，因為領你出埃及地的耶和華－你的神與你同在。你們將要上陣的時候，祭司要來，向士兵宣告，對他們說：『以色列啊，要聽！你們今日將要與仇敵作戰，不要心驚膽戰，不要懼怕戰兢，也不要因他們驚慌，因為與你們同去的是耶和華－你們的神，他要為你們與仇敵作戰，拯救你們。』

耶和華是我的亮光，是我的拯救，我還怕誰呢？耶和華是我生命的保障，我還懼誰呢？那作惡的就是我的仇敵，前來吃我肉的時候就絆跌仆倒。

於是，以色列人劃分拿弗他利山區加利利的基低斯、以法蓮山區的示劍和猶大山區的基列‧亞巴，基列‧亞巴就是希伯崙。

你不要害怕，因為我與你同在；不要驚惶，因為我是你的神。我必堅固你，幫助你，用我公義的右手扶持你。看哪，凡向你發怒的都抱愧蒙羞，與你相爭的必如無有，並要滅亡。與你爭鬥的，你要尋找他們，卻遍尋不着；與你爭戰的必如無有，成為虛無。因為我耶和華－你的神必攙扶你的右手，對你說：「不要害怕！我必幫助你。」蟲子雅各，以色列人哪，不要害怕！我必幫助你；救贖你的是以色列的聖者。這是耶和華說的。看哪，我使你成為全新的打穀機，齒輪銳利；你要把山嶺打得粉碎，使岡陵如同糠粃。你要簸揚它們，風要將它們吹去；旋風要颳散它們。你卻要以耶和華為喜樂，因以色列的聖者誇耀。

他們和他們的眾軍都出來，一大隊人馬，多如海邊的沙，並有極多的戰車戰馬。眾王組成聯軍，來到米倫水邊一同安營，要與以色列作戰。耶和華對約書亞說：「你不要怕他們。明日這時，我必把他們全部交給以色列人殺滅。你要砍斷他們馬的蹄筋，用火焚燒他們的戰車。」

這地界又從山頂延伸到尼弗多亞水泉，通到以弗崙山的城鎮，這地界又延伸到巴拉，巴拉就是基列‧耶琳。

約書亞對他們說：「如果你百姓眾多，而以法蓮山區太窄小，那麼你可以上比利洗人和利乏音人之地的樹林中，在那裏開墾。」約瑟的子孫說：「那山區容不下我們，而且住平原的迦南人，就是住伯‧善和所屬的鄉鎮，以及住在耶斯列平原的人，都有鐵的戰車。」

從黎巴嫩直到米斯利弗‧瑪音，一切山區的居民，就是所有的西頓人，我必在以色列人面前趕走他們。你只管照我所吩咐的，抽籤將這地分給以色列人為業。

我，惟有我是安慰你們的。你是誰，竟怕那必死的人，怕那生命如草的世人，卻忘記鋪張諸天、立定地基、造你的耶和華？你因欺壓者圖謀毀滅所發的暴怒，終日害怕，其實那欺壓者的暴怒在哪裏呢？
