說：『迦得子孫和如便子孫若和你們一同過約但河，各人武裝好好，在永恆主面前去爭戰，而那地又在你們面前被征服了，那麼你們就要把基列地給他們做產業。倘若他們不武裝好好、和你們一同過去，他們就要在迦南地你們中間置產業。』迦得子孫和如便子孫回答說：『永恆主怎樣吩咐你僕人，你僕人就怎樣行好啦。我們、我們人要武裝好好、在永恆主面前過去、到迦南地，只是約但河東邊、我們所承受為產業之地、仍然要歸我們。』於是摩西將亞摩利王西宏的國、和巴珊王噩的國、那地、和屬那地的城市、在境界裏、連四圍之地的城市、都給了他們，就是給了迦得子孫、如便子孫、和約瑟子孫瑪拿西半個族派。迦得子孫就修建了底本、亞他錄、亞羅珥、亞他錄朔反、雅謝、約比哈、伯寧拉、伯哈蘭、這些堡壘城和羊壘圈。如便子孫修建了希實本、以利亞利、基列亭、尼波、巴力免（以上的兩個名字有改了的）、西比瑪，又給他們所修建的城市另起了別名。瑪拿西的兒子瑪吉、他的子孫往基列去，攻取了那地，把在那裏的亞摩利人趕出。摩西把基列給了瑪拿西的兒子瑪吉，瑪吉就住在那裏。瑪拿西的子孫睚珥去攻取亞摩利人的帳篷村，就把這些村子叫做哈倭特睚珥。挪巴去攻取基納和基納的眾廂鎮，就用自己的名字給叫做挪巴。

『那時我們取得了這地；從亞嫩谿谷邊的亞羅珥起、我把基列山地的一半、和它的城市、都給了如便人和迦得人。基列其餘的部分、和全巴珊、就是噩的國、亞珥歌伯全區、我給了瑪拿西的半族派。（這巴珊全地叫作利乏音人之地。瑪拿西的子孫睚珥取了亞珥歌伯全區、直到基述人和瑪迦人的邊界，就按自己的名字將這些村子將巴珊叫做哈倭特睚珥，直到今日還用那名稱。）我又把基列給了瑪吉；從基列到亞嫩谿谷、（谿谷中間也作為界線）、直到亞捫人的邊界、雅博溪河，我給了如便人和迦得人；又將亞拉巴、（以約但河作為界線）、從基尼烈直到亞拉巴海、就是鹽海、跟毘斯迦山下坡東邊的地方都給了他們。

以上這些地方就是摩西在約但河東邊、耶利哥對面的摩押原野所分的產業。但是利未的族派、摩西卻沒有把產業給予他們；以色列的上帝永恆主就是他們的產業，照永恆主所告訴他們的。
