這樣，約書亞照著耶和華吩咐摩西的一切話，奪取了那全地；於是，約書亞按著以色列的支派把地分給他們作產業。全地也就止息了戰爭。

撒拉死在迦南地的基列．亞巴，就是希伯崙；亞伯拉罕進去為撒拉哀慟哭號。

約書亞照著耶和華所吩咐的，把猶大人的一份地業，就是基列．亞巴，分給了耶孚尼的兒子迦勒；亞巴是亞衲人的祖先。基列．亞巴就是希伯崙。

這樣，米甸人在以色列人面前就被制伏了，不能再抬起頭來；基甸在世的日子，國中太平了四十年。

耶和華啊，願你所有的仇敵都這樣滅亡；願愛他的人像太陽出現，大有能力。”於是國中太平了四十年。

於是國中太平了四十年。後來基納斯的兒子俄陀聶死了。

這樣，從那天起，摩押就在以色列人的手下被制伏了，於是國中太平了八十年。
