As the Lord commanded his servant Moses, so Moses commanded Joshua, and Joshua did it; he left nothing undone of all that the Lord commanded Moses.

The Lord had commanded his servant Moses to do all these things. Moses had passed that command on to Joshua. And Joshua carried it out. He did everything the Lord had commanded Moses.

我今日所命爾者當謹守、我於爾前將逐亞摩利人迦南人赫人比利洗人希未人耶布斯人、爾所往之地、慎毋與其居民立約、恐其居於爾中、陷爾於罪網、爾必毀其祭壇、摧其柱像、斫其亞舍拉、亞舍拉或作木偶

摩西召約書亞、在以色列眾前告之曰、爾當強爾心壯爾志、爾必與民偕往、入主所誓於其祖欲賜之之地、爾必使民得之為業、

蓋天主之旨、我悉以告爾、一無所隱、

在猶大地、天主感民、一心遵王與諸伯所傳主之命、

凡我所諭爾者、爾必謹守遵行、毋增毋減、

我遵主我天主所諭我之命、教爾以律例法度、使爾行之在爾將往得以為業之地、

我所諭爾之言、不可增亦不可減、惟守我所諭爾主爾天主之誡命、

何不聽主之命、急於掠物、行惡於主前、掃羅謂撒母耳曰、我實聽主命、行主所遣我之途、擒亞瑪力王亞甲至、盡滅亞瑪力人、民於當滅者中、掠牛羊之嘉者、欲在吉甲祭主爾之天主、撒母耳曰、主豈悅火焚祭平安祭、不悅人聽從主命乎、聽命勝於獻祭、順從勝於牡羊脂、

我立掃羅為王、今我悔矣、因其違我、不遵我命、撒母耳甚憂、終夜呼籲主、

以色列人遵主所諭摩西之命而作諸物、摩西觀其所作諸物、皆遵主所命而作、摩西遂為之祝福、

此諸王之城邑、約書亞悉取之、又擒獲其王、擊之以刃而盡滅之、循主之僕摩西所命、

生擒亞瑪力王亞甲、以刃殲滅其民、掃羅與民惜亞甲、亦惜其牛羊及羔之嘉者次者、與諸美物、不欲翦滅、惟惡劣羸弱者、盡翦滅之、

撒母耳謂掃羅曰、主曾遣我膏爾立為其民以色列之王、今當聽從主之命、萬有之主如是云、以色列人出伊及時、亞瑪力人如何待之、如何於途間伏而攻之、我悉記憶、今往哉、攻亞瑪力人、翦滅所有、勿加憐恤、男女童穉嬰孩、以及牛羊駝驢、盡當殺戮、

禍哉爾曹法利賽人乎、因爾以薄荷、茴香、及諸菜蔬、十輸其一、而行義與愛天主、則輕視之、爾所當行者此也、而彼亦不可遺、

禍哉爾偽善之經士與法利賽人、因爾以薄荷、茴香、芹菜、十輸其一、但律法之尤重者、即義與仁與信、爾則遺之、此爾所當行者也、而彼亦不可遺、
