因此《永恆主的戰紀》上說：『我們掃蕩了哇哈伯、和眾谿谷、亞嫩河、

『你要在米甸人身上報以色列人的仇，然後被收殮歸你族人。』

日月昏暗，星辰收回其光輝。

那時月亮必蒙羞，烈日必慚愧；因為萬軍之永恆主必作王，在錫安山、在耶路撒冷、掌權，在敬畏他、的長老面前大有榮耀。

日頭月亮啊，你們要頌讚他！發光的眾星啊，你們要頌讚他！

那城不需要日頭或月亮照耀她；因為上帝的榮耀做她的光；羔羊就是她的燈。

參孫呼求永恆主說：『主永恆主啊，眷念着我；上帝啊，加強我這一次的力量，就只這一次，使我從非利士人身上儘一次報他那剜我雙眼的仇。』

但其聲音發出於全地，其言詞傳到世界的儘邊。其間有帳棚為日頭安設着：

『為了有領袖們在以色列中率領着，為了有人民自願從軍，你們要祝頌永恆主！

要稱謝那造大光的，因為他堅固的愛永遠長存；他造日頭管白晝，因為他堅固的愛永遠長存；他造月亮星辰管黑夜，因為他堅固的愛永遠長存；

白晝屬於你，黑夜也屬於你；發光之體和日頭、是你豫備的。地的一切境界是你立的；夏天冬天是你制定的。

這日以前、這日以後、永恆主聽人的聲音、沒有像這一日的；因為永恆主真地為以色列爭戰了。

他們從以色列人面前逃跑，正在伯和崙下坡的時候，永恆主從天上降了大冰石在他們身上，直降到亞西加，打死他們；那死於冰雹石的、比以色列人用刀殺死的還多。

詔書本子寫成了勅令，頒到各省，向各族之民披露，叫他們猶大人準備好了、等候那一天，好從他們的仇敵身上去報仇。

日頭必變為黑暗，月亮必變為血色，在永恆主大而可畏懼的日子未到以前。

『那些日子的苦難一過後，日頭就必變黑，月亮必沒有光芒，星辰必從天上墜下，天上的列強萬象必被搖動。

第四位把他那一碗倒在日頭上，日頭就得權柄、能用火烤人。人被大炎熱一烤，就褻瀆那有權柄掌管這些災殃的上帝之名，並不悔改而將榮耀獻與上帝。

這樣，你們才可以做你們天上的父的兒女；因為他安排日出、是照惡人、也照好人；他下雨是給老實人、也給不老實的人。

他們大聲喊着說：『聖而真的主宰啊，你不審判、而向住在地上的人伸我們流血的冤、要等到幾時呢？』

上帝揀選的人晝夜向他喊救，他縱然在他們的事上延持着，難道總不給他們伸冤麼？

日頭必變成黑暗，月亮必變成血，在主的日子、大而顯赫之日、未到以前。

羔羊揭開了第六個印的時候，我觀看，當時發生了大地震。日頭變黑像毛袋布，整個月亮變得像血。

第四位天使吹了號筒；日頭的三分之一、月亮的三分之一、星晨的三分之一、就被擊打，以致日月星的三分之一都變了黑，白晝的三分之一沒有光，黑夜也是這樣。
