“ Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them— to the Israelites.

“ My servant Moses is dead. Now then, I want you and all these people to get ready to go across the Jordan River. I want all of you to go into the land I am about to give to the Israelites.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Now you and all the people prepare to cross over the Jordan to the land I am giving the Israelites.

“ Moses My servant is dead; so now arise, cross this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them, to the sons of Israel.

你卻要吩咐約書亞，勉勵他，使他壯膽，因為他必在這百姓前面過去，使他們承受你所要觀看之地。』

「你們要走遍營中，吩咐百姓說：『當預備食物，因為三日之內你們要過這約旦河，進去得耶和華－你們神賜給你們為業之地。』」

看哪，我的僕人，我所扶持、所揀選、心裏所喜悅的！我已將我的靈賜給他，他必將公理傳給萬邦。

摩西召了約書亞來，在以色列眾人眼前對他說：「你當剛強壯膽！因為你要和這百姓一同進入耶和華向他們列祖起誓要給他們的地，你也要使他們承受那地為業。

耶和華的僕人摩西死了以後，耶和華對摩西的助手嫩的兒子約書亞說：

「願耶和華，賜萬人氣息的神，立一個人治理會眾，可以在他們面前出入，引導他們進出，免得耶和華的會眾如同沒有牧人的羊羣一般。」耶和華對摩西說：「嫩的兒子約書亞是一個有聖靈的人；你要領他來，為他按手，使他站在以利亞撒祭司和全會眾面前，在他們眼前委派他，又將你的尊榮給他一些，好使以色列全會眾都聽從他。他要站在以利亞撒祭司面前；以利亞撒要憑烏陵的判斷，在耶和華面前為他求問。他和以色列全會眾都要照以利亞撒的指示出入。」

摩西作為僕人，向神的全家盡忠，為將來要談論的事作證；但是基督作為兒子，治理神的家。我們若堅持因盼望而有的膽量和誇耀，我們就是他的家了。

一方面，那些成為祭司的數目本來多，是因為受死亡限制不能長久留住。另一方面，這位既是永遠留住的，他具有不可更換的祭司職任。
