“ Moses my servant is dead. Now then, you and all these people, get ready to cross the Jordan River into the land I am about to give to them— to the Israelites.

“ My servant Moses is dead. Now then, I want you and all these people to get ready to go across the Jordan River. I want all of you to go into the land I am about to give to the Israelites.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Therefore, the time has come for you to lead these people, the Israelites, across the Jordan River into the land I am giving them.

“ Moses my servant is dead. Now you and all the people prepare to cross over the Jordan to the land I am giving the Israelites.

你卻要吩咐約書亞，堅固他，鼓勵他，因為他要在這人民前面過河去，使他們承受你看見的這地。’

“你們要走遍營中，吩咐人民說：‘你們要預備糧食，因為三天之內，你們要過這約旦河，進去得耶和華你們的神要賜給你們作產業的地。’”

看哪！這是我的僕人，我扶持他；我所揀選的，我的心喜悅他；我已經把我的靈賜給他，他必把公理帶給萬國。

摩西把約書亞召了來，在以色列眾人面前對他說：“你要堅強勇敢，因為你要和這人民一同進入耶和華向他們的列祖起誓，應許要賜給他們的地；你也要使他們得著那地為業。

耶和華的僕人摩西死了以後，耶和華吩咐摩西的侍從，嫩的兒子約書亞，說：

“願耶和華萬人之靈的神，立一個人治理會眾，可以在他們面前出入；帶領他們出入，免得耶和華的會眾好像沒有牧人的羊一樣。”耶和華對摩西說：“你要揀選嫩的兒子約書亞，他心裡有聖靈，你要按手在他頭上，叫他站在以利亞撒祭司和全體會眾面前，當他們的面委派他。你要把你的尊榮給他幾分，好叫以色列全體會眾都聽從他。他要站在以利亞撒祭司面前，以利亞撒要藉著烏陵的判斷，在耶和華面前為他求問；他和以色列眾人，就是全體會眾，都要按著以利亞撒的命令出入。”

摩西不過是個僕人，在神的全家盡忠，為以後要傳講的事作證；但是基督卻是兒子，管理自己的家。如果我們把坦然無懼的心和可誇的盼望持守到底，我們就是他的家了。

一方面，從前那些作祭司的，因為受死亡的限制，不能長久留任，所以人數眾多。另一方面，因為耶穌是永遠長存的，就擁有他永不更改的祭司職位。
