You threw me deep into the Mediterranean Sea. I was deep down in its waters. They were all around me. All your rolling waves were sweeping over me.

我被丢弃在死人中，如同躺在坟墓里被杀的人，不再被你记念，与你手的眷顾隔绝了。你把我放在最深的阴坑里，在黑暗之地，在幽深之处；你的怒火压在我身上，你用你一切的波浪苦待我。细拉你使认识我的人远离我，使我成为他们所憎恶的；我被囚禁，不能出来。

约拿就对他们说：“你们把我抬起来，抛进海中，海就会为你们平静下来，因为我知道这场临到你们的大风暴是因我的缘故。”然而，那些人还是拼命划桨要回到陆地，却是不能，因为海浪越来越汹涌，冲向他们。他们就向耶和华呼求，说：“哦，耶和华啊，求你不要因这人性命的缘故使我们灭亡，不要把流无辜人血的罪归在我们身上！因为你，耶和华啊，是你照着你的意愿行了这事。”于是他们把约拿抬起来，抛进海中，海的怒涛就止息了。那些人大大敬畏耶和华，向耶和华献上祭物，并且许愿。
