门徒去叫醒他，说：“老师！老师！我们快没命啦！”耶稣醒了，斥责那狂风大浪，风浪就止住，平静了。

他使狂风止息，波浪平静，

你管辖海的狂傲；波浪翻腾，你使它平静了。

耶和华啊，大水扬起，大水发声，大水澎湃。耶和华在高处大有威力，胜过诸水的响声，洋海的大浪。

王却把爱亚的女儿利斯巴为扫罗所生的两个儿子亚摩尼和米非波设，以及扫罗的女儿米拉为米何拉人巴西莱儿子亚得列所生的五个儿子交在基遍人的手里。基遍人在耶和华面前把他们悬挂在山上，这七人就一起死了。他们被杀的时候正是收割的头几天，就是开始收割大麦的时候。

约书亚和以色列众人把谢拉的曾孙亚干和那银子、那件外袍、那条金子，以及亚干的儿女、牛、驴、羊、帐棚，和他所有的，都带着上到亚割谷去。约书亚说：“你为什么给我们招惹灾祸呢？今日耶和华必使你遭受灾祸。”于是以色列众人用石头打死他，用火焚烧他们，把石头扔在其上。众人在亚干身上堆了一大堆石头，直存到今日。于是耶和华转意，不发他的烈怒。因此，那地方名叫亚割谷，直到今日。

耶稣说：“你们这些小信的人哪，为什么胆怯呢？”于是他起来，斥责风和海，风和海就大大平静了。

使诸海的响声和其中波浪的响声，并万民的喧哗，都平静了。
