Before them fire devours, behind them a flame blazes. Before them the land is like the garden of Eden, behind them, a desert waste— nothing escapes them.

Like fire they eat up everything in their path. Behind them it looks as if flames have burned the land. In front of them the land is like the Garden of Eden. Behind them it is a dry and empty desert. Nothing escapes them.

我要用旋风把他们吹散到陌生的万国中，使他们的土地荒凉、杳无人迹，因为他们使美好的土地一片荒凉。’”

耶和华啊，我向你呼求，因为火焰吞灭了旷野的草场，烈火烧光了田野的树木。田野的走兽向你呼求，因为溪水已经枯干，火也烧尽了旷野的草场。

整个埃及铺满蝗虫，地上一片黑暗。这些蝗虫吃尽了冰雹过后剩下的农作物和树上的果子，没有留下一点青绿。

它们铺天盖地，要吃光冰雹过后田间所剩的，包括一切树木。

我们的上帝来临，并非悄然无声，祂前面有烈火燃烧，周围有暴风怒吼。

连上帝园中的香柏树也不能与它相比。松树不能与它的枝干相比，枫树不能与它的枝条相比，主耶和华园中的树木没有一棵能与它媲美。我使它枝繁叶茂，美丽无比，以致上帝伊甸园里的树木都羡慕它。’

罗得举目眺望，看见整个约旦河平原，远至琐珥，水源充足。在耶和华还没有毁灭所多玛和蛾摩拉之前，那地方就好像耶和华的伊甸园，又像埃及。

祂一发声，就飞来无数蝗虫和蚂蚱，吃尽他们土地上的植物，吃尽他们田间的出产。

他们必吞噬你们的儿女、牛羊、粮食、葡萄和无花果，用刀剑摧毁你们所依靠的坚城。”

蝗虫吃剩的，蝻子来吃；蝻子吃剩的，蚱蜢来吃；蚱蜢吃剩的，蚂蚱来吃。醉汉啊，醒过来哭泣吧！贪杯的人啊，哀号吧！你们再无美酒可饮了。有一群凶猛的蝗虫侵犯我的国土，它们不计其数，有雄狮的獠牙和母狮的利齿。它们毁坏我的葡萄树和无花果树，剥光树皮，只留下光秃的树枝。

以下是主耶和华让我看见的异象：看啊，主耶和华降下审判的大火。大火烧干了深海，正在吞噬土地。
