我將移北軍遠離爾、驅至旱乾荒蕪之地、前鋒入於東海、後隊入於西海、其臭上升、其腥上騰、以其行大事也、

敵人至自北方、妄自尊大、其前茅則向東海、其後勁則向西海、我必掃除之、驅逐於曠野、使其臭氣流布、腥聞於上、

惟彼北軍、北軍或作從北而來之軍我將使之遠離爾、我驅逐於旱乾沙漠之地、前隊向東海、後隊向西海、既行大害、其臭流布、其腥騰空、

“ I will drive the northern horde far from you, pushing it into a parched and barren land; its eastern ranks will drown in the Dead Sea and its western ranks in the Mediterranean Sea. And its stench will go up; its smell will rise.” Surely he has done great things!

“ I will drive far away from you the army that comes from the north. I will send some of its forces into a dry and empty land. Its eastern troops will drown in the Dead Sea. Its western troops will drown in the Mediterranean Sea. Their dead bodies will stink.” The Lord has done great things.

“ I will remove the northerner far from you, and drive him into a parched and desolate land, his vanguard into the eastern sea, and his rear guard into the western sea; the stench and foul smell of him will rise, for he has done great things.

I will drive away these armies from the north. I will send them into the parched wastelands. Those in the front will be driven into the Dead Sea, and those at the rear into the Mediterranean. The stench of their rotting bodies will rise over the land.” Surely the Lord has done great things!

I will drive the northerner far from you and banish him to a dry and desolate land, his front ranks into the Dead Sea, and his rear guard into the Mediterranean Sea. His stench will rise; yes, his rotten smell will rise, for he has done astonishing things.

But I will remove the northern army far from you, And I will drive it into a dry and desolate land, Its advance guard into the eastern sea, And its rear guard into the western sea. And its stench will ascend and its odor of decay will come up, Because it has done great things.”

“ But I will remove far from you the northern army, And will drive him away into a barren and desolate land, With his face toward the eastern sea And his back toward the western sea; His stench will come up, And his foul odor will rise, Because he has done monstrous things.”

but I will remove far off from you the northern army, and will drive it into a land barren and desolate, its forepart into the eastern sea, and its hinder part into the western sea; and its stench shall come up, and its ill savor shall come up, because it hath done great things.

Those in front will be driven eastward into the Dead Sea, and those in back westward into the Mediterranean Sea. His stench will rise up as a foul smell.” Indeed, the LORD has accomplished great things.

But I will remove the northern army far away from you, and will drive it into a barren and desolate land, its front into the eastern sea, and its back into the western sea; and its stench will come up, and its bad smell will rise.” Surely he has done great things.

On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half of it east to the Dead Sea and half of it west to the Mediterranean Sea, in summer and in winter. (niv)

“ I sent plagues among you as I did to Egypt. I killed your young men with the sword, along with your captured horses. I filled your nostrils with the stench of your camps, yet you have not returned to me,” declares the Lord. (niv)

Every place where you set your foot will be yours: Your territory will extend from the desert to Lebanon, and from the Euphrates River to the Mediterranean Sea. (niv)

“ On the east side the boundary will run between Hauran and Damascus, along the Jordan between Gilead and the land of Israel, to the Dead Sea and as far as Tamar. This will be the eastern boundary. (niv)

And the Lord changed the wind to a very strong west wind, which caught up the locusts and carried them into the Red Sea. Not a locust was left anywhere in Egypt. (niv)

Before them the land is like the garden of Eden, behind them, a desert waste— nothing escapes them.They have the appearance of horses; they gallop along like cavalry.With a noise like that of chariots they leap over the mountaintops, like a crackling fire consuming stubble, like a mighty army drawn up for battle.At the sight of them, nations are in anguish; every face turns pale.They charge like warriors; they scale walls like soldiers. They all march in line, not swerving from their course.They do not jostle each other; each marches straight ahead. They plunge through defenses without breaking ranks.They rush upon the city; they run along the wall. They climb into the houses; like thieves they enter through the windows.Before them the earth shakes, the heavens tremble, the sun and moon are darkened, and the stars no longer shine.The Lord thunders at the head of his army; his forces are beyond number, and mighty is the army that obeys his command. The day of the Lord is great; it is dreadful. Who can endure it? (niv)

“‘ For seven months the Israelites will be burying them in order to cleanse the land.All the people of the land will bury them, and the day I display my glory will be a memorable day for them, declares the Sovereign Lord.People will be continually employed in cleansing the land. They will spread out across the land and, along with others, they will bury any bodies that are lying on the ground.“‘ After the seven months they will carry out a more detailed search.As they go through the land, anyone who sees a human bone will leave a marker beside it until the gravediggers bury it in the Valley of Hamon Gog,near a town called Hamonah. And so they will cleanse the land.’ (niv)

When I arrived there, I saw a great number of trees on each side of the river.He said to me,“ This water flows toward the eastern region and goes down into the Arabah, where it enters the Dead Sea. When it empties into the sea, the salty water there becomes fresh. (niv)

Wail, all you drinkers of wine; wail because of the new wine, for it has been snatched from your lips.A nation has invaded my land, a mighty army without number; it has the teeth of a lion, the fangs of a lioness.
