長老居民、尚其聽之哉、我將有言、乃爾父及今所未聞也、

老者當聽、斯地之居民、尚其傾耳、將有一災、爾曹在世之日、爾祖在世之日、未有如是者、未有如是者原文作曾有如是者乎

众祭司啊，要听这话！以色列家啊，要留心听！王室啊，要侧耳而听！审判将临到你们，因你们在米斯巴如罗网，在他泊山如张开的网。

那是黑暗、阴森的日子，是密云、乌黑的日子，如同黎明笼罩山岭。有一队蝗虫，又大又强，自古以来没有像这样的，以后直到万代也必没有。

“请你询问上代，思念他们祖先所查究的。

哀哉！那日为大，无日可比；这是雅各遭难的时刻，但他必从患难中得拯救。”

有耳的，就应当听！”

当听这话，雅各家的领袖，以色列家的官长啊！你们厌弃公平，在一切事上屈枉正直；

我们这里有白发的和年老的，比你父亲还年长。

你们要使禁食的日子分别为圣，宣告严肃会，召集长老和这地所有的居民来到耶和华—你们上帝的殿，向耶和华哀求。

“那时，保佑你百姓的天使长米迦勒必站起来，并且有大艰难，自从有国以来直到此时，未曾有过这样的事。那时，你的百姓凡记录在册上的，必得拯救。

“你们这些撒玛利亚山上的巴珊母牛啊，当听这话！你们欺负贫寒人，压碎贫穷人，对主人说：‘拿酒来，我们喝吧！’

“你去问，在你先前的时代，自从上帝造人在地上以来，从天这边到天那边，曾有过或听过这样的大事吗？有哪些百姓听见上帝在火中说话的声音，像你听见了还能存活呢？上帝何曾为自己尝试从别的国中领出一国的子民来，用考验、神迹、奇事、战争、大能的手、伸出来的膀臂和大可畏的事，像耶和华—你们的上帝在埃及，在你们眼前为你们所做的一切事呢？这是要显给你看，使你知道，惟有耶和华他是上帝，除他以外，再没有别的了。

“愚昧无知的百姓啊，你们有眼不看，有耳不听，现在当听这话。

以色列人哪，当听耶和华的话。耶和华指控这地的居民，因为在这地上无诚信，无慈爱，无人认识上帝；

万民哪，你们都要听！地和其上所有的，要留心听！主耶和华要从他的圣殿指证你们的不是。

以色列人哪，当听耶和华责备你们的话，责备我从埃及地领上来的全家，说：

凡有耳朵的都应当听圣灵向众教会所说的话。得胜的，我必将上帝乐园中生命树的果子赐给他吃。’”

于是我说：雅各的领袖，以色列家的官长啊，你们要听！你们岂不知道公平吗？

年老的有智慧，寿高的有知识。

以色列家啊，听我为你们所作的哀歌：

恶人为何存活，得享高寿，势力强盛呢？

耶和华必使亚述王临到你和你的百姓，并你的父家，自从以法莲脱离犹大的时候，未曾有过这样的日子。

万民哪，你们都当听这话！世上所有的居民，无论贵贱贫富，都当侧耳而听！

列国啊，要近前来听！万民哪，要侧耳而听！全地和其上所充满的，世界和其中所出的，都应当听！

因为那时必有大灾难，自从世界的起头直到如今，从没有这样的灾难，将来也不会有。
