Put on sackcloth, you priests, and mourn; wail, you who minister before the altar. Come, spend the night in sackcloth, you who minister before my God; for the grain offerings and drink offerings are withheld from the house of your God.

Priests, put on the clothing of sadness and mourn. Cry, you who serve at the altar. Come, you who serve my God in the temple. Spend the night dressed in the clothes of sadness. Weep because no one brings grain offerings and drink offerings to the house of your God anymore.

Put on sackcloth and lament, O priests; wail, O ministers of the altar. Go in, pass the night in sackcloth, O ministers of my God! Because grain offering and drink offering are withheld from the house of your God.

Dress yourselves in burlap and weep, you priests! Wail, you who serve before the altar! Come, spend the night in burlap, you ministers of my God. For there is no grain or wine to offer at the Temple of your God.

你要像童女腰束麻布，為她年少時的丈夫哀號。耶和華的殿中斷絕素祭和澆酒祭，事奉耶和華的祭司都悲哀。

因此，你們當腰束麻布，哭泣哀號，因為耶和華的烈怒並未轉離我們。」

尼尼微人就信服神，宣告禁食，從最大的到最小的都穿上麻衣。這消息傳到尼尼微王那裏，他就從寶座起來，脫下朝服，披上麻布，坐在灰中。他叫人通告尼尼微全城，說：「王和大臣有令，人、畜、牛、羊都不可嘗任何東西，不可吃，也不可喝水。人與牲畜都要披上麻布，切切求告神。各人要回轉離開惡道，離棄自己掌中的殘暴。

亞哈聽見這些話，就撕裂衣服，禁食，貼身穿着麻布，也睡在麻布上，沮喪地走來走去。

事奉耶和華的祭司要在走廊和祭壇間哭泣，說：「耶和華啊，求你顧惜你的百姓，不要使你的產業受羞辱，在列國中成為笑柄。為何讓人在萬民中說『他們的神在哪裏』呢？」

我要為山嶺哭泣悲哀，為曠野的草場揚聲哀號；因為都已枯焦，甚至無人經過。牲畜的鳴叫聽不見，空中的飛鳥和地上的走獸也都逃離。

腰束麻布，戰慄籠罩他們；各人臉上羞愧，頭上光禿。

因為這些話所指的人本屬別的支派，那支派裏從來沒有一人在祭壇前事奉的。很明顯地，我們的主是從猶大出來的；但關於這支派，摩西並沒有提到祭司。

他使我們能配作新約的執事，不是文字上的約，而是聖靈的約；因為文字使人死，聖靈能使人活。

大衛為這孩子懇求神。大衛刻苦禁食，到裏面去，躺在地上過夜。

人應該把我們看為基督的執事，為神的奧祕的管家。

你們豈不知在聖殿供職的人吃聖殿中的食物嗎？在祭壇伺候的人分享壇上的供物嗎？

反倒在各樣的事上表明自己是神的用人：就如在持久的忍耐、患難、困苦、災難、

要把這樣做成的素祭帶到耶和華面前，拿給祭司，祭司要帶到壇前。祭司要從素祭中取出作為紀念的燒在壇上，是獻給耶和華為馨香的火祭。素祭所剩的要歸給亞倫和他的子孫；在獻給耶和華的火祭中，這是至聖的。

除了初一的燔祭和同獻的素祭、經常獻的燔祭與同獻的素祭，以及同獻的澆酒祭以外，這些都照例作為馨香的火祭獻給耶和華。」

他們是基督的用人嗎？我說句狂話，我更是。我比他們忍受更多勞苦，坐過更多次監牢，受過無數次的鞭打，常常冒死。

但你們要稱為「耶和華的祭司」，稱作「我們神的僕人」。你們必享用列國的財物，必承受他們的財富。
