If it’s a question of strength, he’s the strong one. If it’s a matter of justice, who dares to summon him to court?

欲以力爭、彼力過我、欲以理諭、誰為折中。

若論力、其力至大、若論審鞫、孰能為我定期、至天主前自訴、

If it is a matter of strength, he is mighty! And if it is a matter of justice, who can challenge him?

If it’s a matter of strength, he is mighty! And if it’s a matter of being fair, who would dare to bring charges against him?

If it is a contest of strength, behold, he is mighty! If it is a matter of justice, who can summon him?

If it is a matter of strength, look, he is the powerful one! If it is a matter of justice, who can summon him?

If it is a matter of power, behold, He is the strong one! And if it is a matter of justice, who can summon Him?

If it is a matter of strength, indeed He is strong; And if of justice, who will appoint my day in court?

If we speak of strength, lo, he is mighty! And if of justice, Who, saith he, will summon me?

If it is a matter of strength, look, He is the Mighty One! If it is a matter of justice, who can summon Him?

If[ I speak] of strength, lo,[ he is] strong: and if of judgment, who shall set me a time[ to plead]?

If it is a matter of strength, most certainly he is the strong one! And if it is a matter of justice, he will say,‘ Who will summon me?’

If it is a matter of strength, behold, he is mighty! If of justice,‘ Who,’ says he,‘ will summon me?’

For God is so wise and so mighty. Who has ever challenged him successfully?

This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.

“ God is not a mortal like me, so I cannot argue with him or take him to trial.If only there were a mediator between us, someone who could bring us together.

Answer me, if you can; make your case and take your stand.Look, you and I both belong to God. I, too, was formed from clay.So you don’t need to be afraid of me. I won’t come down hard on you.

“ If only someone would listen to me! Look, I will sign my name to my defense. Let the Almighty answer me. Let my accuser write out the charges against me.

And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.

But you are obsessed with whether the godless will be judged. Don’t worry, judgment and justice will be upheld.But watch out, or you may be seduced by wealth. Don’t let yourself be bribed into sin.Could all your wealth or all your mighty efforts keep you from distress?

God has spoken plainly, and I have heard it many times: Power, O God, belongs to you;

What? Do we dare to rouse the Lord’s jealousy? Do you think we are stronger than he is?

Are you as strong as God? Can you thunder with a voice like his?All right, put on your glory and splendor, your honor and majesty.
