God does not restrain his anger; under him the helpers of Rahab lie crushed.

“神必不收回他的怒气；扶助拉哈伯的，屈身在他以下。

『上帝必不轉消他的怒氣；拉哈龍的助手也俯首於他以下。

上帝不回厥怒、助拉哈伯者、屈伏於其下、

其怒未息、強者慴之。

天主若不息怒、助拉哈伯者助拉哈伯者或作逞驕傲者必屈服其下、

God does not restrain his anger; even the cohorts of Rahab cowered at his feet.

God doesn’t hold back his anger. Even the helpers of the sea monster Rahab bowed in fear at his feet.

“ God will not turn back his anger; beneath him bowed the helpers of Rahab.

And God does not restrain his anger. Even the monsters of the sea are crushed beneath his feet.

God does not hold back his anger; Rahab’s assistants cringe in fear beneath him!

“ God will not turn back His anger; Beneath Him the helpers of Rahab cower.

God will not withdraw His anger, The allies of the proud lie prostrate beneath Him.

God will not withdraw his anger; The helpers of Rahab do stoop under him.

God does not hold back His anger; Rahab’s assistants cringe in fear beneath Him!

[ If] God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers do stoop under him.

“ God will not withdraw his anger. The helpers of Rahab stoop under him.

Egypt is totally incapable of helping. For this reason I call her‘ Proud one who is silenced.’”

By his power he stills the sea; by his wisdom he cut Rahab the great sea monster to pieces.

You crushed the Proud One and killed it; with your strong arm you scattered your enemies.

Wake up! Wake up! Clothe yourself with strength, O arm of the LORD! Wake up as in former times, as in antiquity! Did you not smash the Proud One? Did you not wound the sea monster?

But he gives greater grace. Therefore it says,“ God opposes the proud, but he gives grace to the humble.”So submit to God. But resist the devil and he will flee from you.

Yet he too is wise and he will bring disaster; he does not retract his decree. He will attack the wicked nation, and the nation that helps those who commit sin.The Egyptians are mere humans, not God; their horses are made of flesh, not spirit. The LORD will strike with his hand; the one who helps will stumble and the one being helped will fall. Together they will perish.

Do you have an arm as powerful as God’s, and can you thunder with a voice like his?Adorn yourself, then, with majesty and excellency, and clothe yourself with glory and honor!Scatter abroad the abundance of your anger. Look at every proud man and bring him low;
