Scatter abroad the abundance of your anger. Look at every proud man and bring him low;

震動爾怒、見矜高者則抑之、

Unleash the fury of your wrath, look at all who are proud and bring them low,

Let loose your great anger. Look at those who are proud and bring them low.

Pour out the overflowings of your anger, and look on everyone who is proud and abase him.

Give vent to your anger. Let it overflow against the proud.

Pour out your raging anger; look on every proud person and humiliate him.

Let out your outbursts of anger, And look at everyone who is arrogant, and humble him.

Disperse the rage of your wrath; Look on everyone who is proud, and humble him.

Pour forth the overflowings of thine anger; And look upon every one that is proud, and abase him.

Unleash your raging anger; look on every proud person and humiliate him.

Cast abroad the rage of thy wrath: and behold every one[ that is] proud, and abase him.

Pour out the fury of your anger. Look at everyone who is proud, and bring him low.

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, for all his deeds are right and his ways are just. He is able to bring down those who live in pride.

Proud men will be brought low, arrogant men will be humiliated; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.Indeed, the LORD who commands armies has planned a day of judgment, for all the high and mighty, for all who are proud– they will be humiliated;

Proud men will be humiliated, arrogant men will be brought low; the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.

No one can withstand his indignation! No one can resist his fierce anger! His wrath is poured out like volcanic fire, boulders are broken up as he approaches.

And when his mind became arrogant and his spirit filled with pride, he was deposed from his royal throne and his honor was removed from him.He was driven from human society, his mind was changed to that of an animal, he lived with the wild donkeys, he was fed grass like oxen, and his body became damp with the dew of the sky, until he came to understand that the most high God rules over human kingdoms, and he appoints over them whomever he wishes.“ But you, his son Belshazzar, have not humbled yourself, although you knew all this.Instead, you have exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven. You brought before you the vessels from his temple, and you and your nobles, together with your wives and concubines, drank wine from them. You praised the gods of silver, gold, bronze, iron, wood, and stone– gods that cannot see or hear or comprehend! But you have not glorified the God who has in his control your very breath and all your ways!

( 3: 19)“ For indeed the day is coming, burning like a furnace, and all the arrogant evildoers will be chaff. The coming day will burn them up,” says the LORD who rules over all.“ It will not leave even a root or branch.

Your presumptuous heart has deceived you– you who reside in the safety of the rocky cliffs, whose home is high in the mountains. You think to yourself,‘ No one can bring me down to the ground!’Even if you were to soar high like an eagle, even if you were to make your nest among the stars, I can bring you down even from there!” says the LORD.

Hurl lightning bolts and scatter them! Shoot your arrows and rout them!

But he gives greater grace. Therefore it says,“ God opposes the proud, but he gives grace to the humble.”

His raging anger lashed out against them, He sent fury, rage, and trouble as messengers who bring disaster.He sent his anger in full force; he did not spare them from death; he handed their lives over to destruction.

But the crowd began to shout,“ The voice of a god, and not of a man!”Immediately an angel of the Lord struck Herod down because he did not give the glory to God, and he was eaten by worms and died.

but wrath and anger to those who live in selfish ambition and do not obey the truth but follow unrighteousness.There will be affliction and distress on everyone who does evil, on the Jew first and also the Greek,

I tell you that this man went down to his home justified rather than the Pharisee. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”

In the same way, you who are younger, be subject to the elders. And all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.And God will exalt you in due time, if you humble yourselves under his mighty hand

It hurls itself against him without pity as he flees headlong from its power.

Now I know that the LORD is greater than all the gods, for in the thing in which they dealt proudly against them he has destroyed them.”

For a fire has been kindled by my anger, and it burns to lowest Sheol; it consumes the earth and its produce, and ignites the foundations of the mountains.

Your right hand, O LORD, was majestic in power, your right hand, O LORD, shattered the enemy.

“ While he is filling his belly, God sends his burning anger against him, and rains down his blows upon him.

But when the sovereign master finishes judging Mount Zion and Jerusalem, then I will punish the king of Assyria for what he has proudly planned and for the arrogant attitude he displays.For he says:“ By my strong hand I have accomplished this, by my strategy that I devised. I invaded the territory of nations, and looted their storehouses. Like a mighty conqueror, I brought down rulers.My hand discovered the wealth of the nations, as if it were in a nest, as one gathers up abandoned eggs, I gathered up the whole earth. There was no wing flapping, or open mouth chirping.”Does an ax exalt itself over the one who wields it, or a saw magnify itself over the one who cuts with it? As if a scepter should brandish the one who raises it, or a staff should lift up what is not made of wood!For this reason the sovereign master, the LORD who commands armies, will make his healthy ones emaciated. His majestic glory will go up in smoke.The light of Israel will become a fire, their Holy One will become a flame; it will burn and consume the Assyrian king’s briers and his thorns in one day.The splendor of his forest and his orchard will be completely destroyed, as when a sick man’s life ebbs away.There will be so few trees left in his forest, a child will be able to count them.

So he poured out his fierce anger on them, along with the devastation of war. Its flames encircled them, but they did not realize it; it burned against them, but they did notice.

“ Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre,‘ This is what the sovereign LORD says:“‘ Your heart is proud and you said,“ I am a god; I sit in the seat of gods, in the heart of the seas”– yet you are a man and not a god, though you think you are godlike.

But for this purpose I have caused you to stand: to show you my strength, and so that my name may be declared in all the earth.You are still exalting yourself against my people by not releasing them.
