Behold, he spreadeth his light upon it, and covereth the bottom of the sea.

看哪，他將他的霧氣散布於四圍；又籠罩着羣山頂上。

閃光普照其四周、覆以海底、

電閃穹蒼、覆幬海底、

天主使光明普照其上、且以覆海底、

See how he scatters his lightning about him, bathing the depths of the sea.

See how he scatters his lightning around him! He lights up the deepest parts of the ocean.

Behold, he scatters his lightning about him and covers the roots of the sea.

See how he spreads the lightning around him and how it lights up the depths of the sea.

See how he spreads his lightning around him and covers the depths of the sea.

Behold, He spreads His lightning about Him, And He covers the depths of the sea.

Look, He scatters his light upon it, And covers the depths of the sea.

Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee?Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go, and say unto thee, Here we[ are]?

Pharaoh’s chariots and his host hath he cast into the sea: his chosen captains also are drowned in the Red sea.The depths have covered them: they sank into the bottom as a stone.

He made darkness his secret place; his pavilion round about him[ were] dark waters[ and] thick clouds of the skies.At the brightness[ that was] before him his thick clouds passed, hail[ stones] and coals of fire.The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail[ stones] and coals of fire.Yea, he sent out his arrows, and scattered them; and he shot out lightnings, and discomfited them.Then the channels of waters were seen, and the foundations of the world were discovered at thy rebuke, O LORD, at the blast of the breath of thy nostrils.He sent from above, he took me, he drew me out of many waters.

Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder;

[ Who] laid the foundations of the earth,[ that] it should not be removed for ever.Thou coveredst it with the deep as[ with] a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.At thy rebuke they fled; at the voice of thy thunder they hasted away.They go up by the mountains; they go down by the valleys unto the place which thou hast founded for them.Thou hast set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth.

And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry[ ground]: and the waters[ were] a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.

For as the lightning, that lighteneth out of the one[ part] under heaven, shineth unto the other[ part] under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.

And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry[ land] appear: and it was so.

Or[ who] shut up the sea with doors, when it brake forth,[ as if] it had issued out of the womb?When I made the cloud the garment thereof, and thick darkness a swaddlingband for it,And brake up for it my decreed[ place], and set bars and doors,And said, Hitherto shalt thou come, but no further: and here shall thy proud waves be stayed?

And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen,[ and] all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.
